I was skeptical at first but it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. They do raise level of difficulty if you do average on an exam. I barely passed. Quizzes every week sucked but werent that hard. It was just really time consuming!

He was very disorganized, to say the least. Professor Singer jumped around to different topics and then returned to a topic later to talk about it further. He did not have a good flow. He does seem like he cares for his students though.

His lectures are disorganized and not representative of the tests. I learned nothing from him but the book is helpful as well as previous practice tests. Don't take him if you actually want to learn though.

Please avoid at all costs. Very DISORGANIZED and does not know how to lecture at all. It's so bad. His tests were textbook based so they weren't too bad. He would attack students for asking a simple questions. Very rude and unapproachable and doesn't know how to lecture. Expect to teach yourself the material.

I would not recommend taking this professor at all. His lectures were completely scattered and there was so much busy work assigned that did not help in any way. He has very low patience in office hours and completely unhelpful in his responses.

This class made the PHY7, CHE2, and CHE118 classes seem like a lot of fun. Singer lectured haphazardly and his slides contained no information. Also, this class was set up in the most unenjoyable way because of all the busy work and all the clutter on canvas. The only memorable thing from this class was him burping during his review session.

HOLY MOLY IS HE BAD. Review sessions were shallow because students were afraid of his attacks. Calls people out and tells them to google answers rather than ask him. His lectures were awful and it felt like he was trying to show off that he knows a lot rather than teach us. You need a 95% in the class for an A and it isn't curved. 94.9 % is a A-...

Having 3 quizzes each week, 3 midterms and 1 cumulative final will make you cry countless nights. Avoid taking this teacher as material is heavy and anything can be on the exams. He does drop your lowest midterm/discussion so that helps your grade survive. Recommend having some pre biology background for this class. Professor comes out a bit rude.

Goes through topics incredibly fast, you're paying UC rate tuition to teach yourself bio. Lectures are incredibly boring and confusing, seems to purposely be trying to confuse us. Honestly if I had a shot every time he said, "um" in a 20 minute lecture I would be drunk enough to forget how painful this class is. I lied, I would be at Sutter.

I truly think I am going to fail this class, yes, he is really blunt, but I'll be honest, I don't mind him, he is fine to me. If you don't want a professor who is really sarcastic and goes very quickly over every topic, Don't take him.

He will make you regret the day you were born. Lectures are confusing and mostly useless. The readings, lectures, and quizzes are so disconnected from one another that it feels like 3 different classes. He's also unbelievably rude, especially during office hours. The head TA is a far better instructor than he is. If you can, avoid him at all costs.

He sucks. No other way to put it. He can't go three words without saying "um". His lectures are confusing for no reason. Better off taking a different professor. If you have no other choice just read the textbook.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to jump from one moving train to another? Well, you can get that experience by listening to this professor's lectures. This professor gives by far the worst lectures I have ever heard in my life. He will put in random words and thoughts between main points making it impossible to understand the information

I learned more from the person who subbed in for my 4th grade teacher when she was recovering from surgery than from Singer. He explains things using terms he's never taught us before. Says "um" at least 4 times per sentence making it impossible to follow anything he says. Everything I learned from this class was from the textbook.

He is easily the WORST professor I have ever had in my years in college and probably the worst I will ever have. Disrespectful to students during office hours and even burped while explaining an answer. He tells students to Google things instead of answering them himself. His lectures are either way too simple or too complicated. DO NOT TAKE HIM.

I have never written a RMP review before but I had to for Singer because he's easily the worst professor at Davis. He doesn't know how to teach and he suggests that his student google answers to questions we ask during OH instead of him answering them himself. Literally the worst teacher ever. Don't take him. He is so confusing and so bad.
