It is week 10 and she has already given us 17 homework assignments at this point, only 2 of which that she has graded. And most of them are 3 to 4 page essays. It is absurd and very stressful. Highly advise against taking Prof. Medow's class. She is not a good teacher.

Professor Medow is an amazing professor, who clearly has a profound love for education and the arts. She was my first class freshman year and I was really nervous but Prof has such a kind and warm vibe to her, that I was really comfortable from the start. Her assignments are always really thought provoking. There will be a lot of reading though.

She assigned a CRAZY amount of busy work that was basically the same thing over and over again. She's a great person but the workload was way too much and she didn't grade anything until the last day.

She gives the most amount of homework youll ever have in your college experience. Assigns 1-2 papers EVERY single week and expects you to be at every class. I had an illness and was on bedrest but she still demanded doctors notes for every class I missed. She gives the most insane amount of homework and crazy papers 2x 3 hour long movies & novels

One of the worst professors I have ever had. Syllabus has no schedule for the entire semester, never knew what assignments were due until the week of. Nothing ever graded until literally the last day of the semester. Textbook is useless, but teaches more than she ever did in class. Every week lesson plans, unit plans, and papers due. Awful class.

medow is a sweet lady but a horrible prof she keeps telling us to chill when we ask questions about deadlines and hw. v slow at giving grades back, I agree that shes confusing, the second prof/TA put the 'rude' in 'rude', theres too much work its ridiculous honestly, find some other class and avoid medow if u wanna have a good semester

The most confusing class I have ever taken. Medow does not teach anything, she sends you links to websites on how to write instead of actually teaching. A paper due almost every class, grades are late, no clear instructions, and if you criticize her or ask questions, she WILL lower your grade for it. PLEASE TAKE SOMETHING ELSE

DO NOT TAKE HER We are writing a paper for EVERY class. Middle of October, 10 papers submitted, no grades received. She does not teach anything!!! Her instructions are confusing and she does not take criticism at all. The 2nd prof is RUDE! Also, ONE allowed absence? That's ridiculous. Situations happen, lady. Don't repeat my mistake, STAY AWAY.

Prof. Medow is one of the most rude/terrible profs I've ever had. I went to her with a personal problem (death of my mother) and she said it was my problem and i could control how i felt, and said other students have come to her with worse things that they couldn't control. She also gives a paper for HW literally every class that is due the next.

Professor Medow is extremely kind. She is very understanding. Dont plan on begin absent much because attendance is important. She assigns a lot of homework however its usually not that difficult. There are a few presentations, all of them pretty standard. There are also a lot of field work hours (25 to be exact). Would take again.

SO. MUCH. WORK. She's a nice lady but she has got to relax with the assignments. I never got above and 85% on any of the reflections, which is ridiculous because it's MY takeaway from the readings. There was 3 major presentations, all of which she gave us very little time. She's not awful but avoid if you have a busy schedule

Medow requires at least two 2 page refections every week, we probably did 5ish presentations, we had 2 weeks to read a book and do a group report, she'll answer emails like once a week, lots of civic engagement hours, the class is a lot of busy work and she gives everyone the same grade on every assignement.

Ridiculous amount of work. In less than 2 months I have written over 30 pages of essays, assignments, and other busy work. Attendance policy is unfair (more than 1 absence and you fail participation). We're reading 3 books at the same time. Requires more fieldwork hours than Pace does for AOK1. Don't take this class if you value your free time.

It's A LOT of work, so be prepared! Prof. Medow is very sweet and understanding, and is very helpful if you talk to her. As long as you aren't a procrastinator and don't mind writing, the class is fun and interesting.

Professor Medow's class is definitely a lot of work. However, once you get the hang of things the assignments become easy to complete. She is an incredible teacher who is very knowledgable and passionate about the field of education. I would definitely recommend her!

She is a nice person, and always brings interesting topics to class, I liked to be in her class because it is work, she gives a lot of homework, and assignment usually reflections, and class discussions. be prepared to spend at least 2 hours beside her class.
