I like that she does vocab quizzes at the beginning of each unit, they're easy points. Most of our exams were open book and online, which was kind of weird actually. Very very little speaking required. I really like her as a person, she's really interesting, but the class is very disorganized and hectic. There's no actual notes or structure.

Madame Caillaud has taught me so much!! She is super encouraging and understanding when you don't understand something yet. She has good explanations and examples. Hardly ever assigns us real homework. She made classes interesting and is super funny. Love her! Great French teacher and person.

She is by far one of my favorite professors that I have had at GVSU. She does make you work for your grade but as long as you come to class prepared and have a genuine interest in the language and culture, you will succeed.

Seriously love this lady. She has the funniest stories and is just super nice. Obviously a conversation class isn't going to be a walk in the park, but she made it a class that I enjoyed going to. Just participate in class and you should be good.

I really enjoyed this class with Prof. Caillaud. She was a bit disorganized and changed the syllabus like 20 times, but if you're a "go with the flow" kind of person it will be fine. She's not that strict on deadlines and gives good feedback for the compositions. Willing to help with anything. Super nice!

Prof. Caillaud is great. She can be a little bit intimidating, but she's always there to answer questions or clarify what she means. She'll tear your first few compositions apart, but it's great to see how much you've progressed by the end of the semester. Just make sure you set aside enough time to get the compositions done well.

Caillaud is one of my all-time favorite professors. She kept the class interesting, and always made sure that all students understood the importance of each text or assignment. As long as you participate and do the assignments, you'll be just fine.

She is such an amazing professor. She really cares about what she is teaching which is not the average nowadays. She is funny and makes the class interesting with stories and games (every once in a while). She is a native French speaker which is not commonly found. I highly recommend taking her class.

Professor Caillaud is one of the better French professor's I've had. I was worried she'd be difficultbecause she is a native French speaker, but it actually makes her much better . She's very clear and helpful, and tests aren't hard if you study. Definitely recommend for those looking for a good French prof actually interested in helping you learn.

Caillaud knows her stuff and she knows how to teach it. She is strict; only allows two absences and has high expectations, but she covers the material really thoroughly and she grades fairly; if everyone fails something on a test she just throws it out. She can seem a bit harsh but has a great sense of humor and can be a lot of fun. Great teacher.

She is such a nice prof. I really enjoyed her class. I wish she would stray from rond point a bit more and give more paper handouts/exercises. Her tests are very hard if you do not study the material covered for that chapter. She is very understanding and willing to work with each students individual circumstances. One of the best profs at GVSU!

I've had her multiple times for upper level. Wonderful, charismatic professor, extremely intelligent but can be disorganized and unclear about due dates and assignments. Ask a lot of questions if it's unclear to you. Participate A LOT. I have good memories from my classes with her, very personable and fun.

There was good use of french in the classroom, and the explanations of content were clear. The only criticism I have is, there were some people who disrupted class by showing up late all the time, and she was too tolerant of that behavior. I've had other profs who dropped people for similar behavior.

Prof. Caillaud is very approachable, and very well informed on the subject matter. She's really easy to talk to, and is willing to help outside class. As long as you do the required readings and make somewhat of an effort to speak in class, it's really easy. Even if you don't understand something, she explains it during class time.

Excellent professor! She is very approachable outside of class, and she doesn't make you feel dumb when you don't understand. She is really interested in helping you get a good grade, and if you do poorly, she'll help you or let you make it up somewhere else. She is one of the best profs I've ever had!
