Comment:
The good ratings he got recently is due to the pandemic. It is a lot easier because he is the type of professor that does not care about you. Pass or fail it doesnt matter. His lectures are just him talking about life for hours. If you take his class in person good luck.

I have taken a couple of Professor Weinstock's courses and can say he is a great lecturer, who truly cares about his students. He does the best he can to accommodate to every students' needs. I love taking his courses, and have appreciated everything I have learned from him.

I have no idea why some ratings are so poor. This class is sexology and economics. He uses real world examples and compares substitutes and compliments with sex, drugs, politics, it is an interesting class and always is always down to go over more examples in a field you like. Feel free to ask questions and raise your hand!

This professor is a joke. He's late to Zoom meetings, doesn't give a clear lesson plan, he makes inappropriate jokes ALL the time (talks ab sex A LOT, calls girls baby, and talks about his sex fantasies to his students). He does not say anything valuable about economics AT ALL. He goes off on long, unrelated tangents and keeps students pass time.

I don't know why this professor has a high rating. His lectures are so boring & he doesn't engage with his students. All you do is sit there & listen to him talk for hours. He doesn't care for much other than teaching his lesson. Also warning: your attendance grade will be based off of the one random day he takes it out of the whole semester.

Comment:
This class is horrible. Our professor is often late to class. The lectures are very difficult to understand, as he often goes on tangents. Also, he relates a lot of his lectures to sex and made us very uncomfortable. He mostly calls on girls. His lessons make no sense but he is no help. It is currently the end of the semester and we have 0 grades.

horrible professor. rarely showed up to class. the man also was so slow in giving instructions. he did not simply teach the subject but had many days of yourself questioning the audacity of this course. students could not ask their questions. He is not fit to be teaching.

Yo, he's a solid teacher, in my book. He gives a good amount of HW but it's easy if you pay attention or look back in the slides. He is a funny guy and knows what he is talking about in economics, ran his own firm, and gets calls for advice all the time. How he grades is stated clearly stated in the syllabus. Easiest class I had and I get to laugh.

Weinstock is a solid choice for your Economics courses. While he may go off on tangents, he relates it back to the topic at hand and gives you a good understanding of what he is teaching. He is lecture heavy, so take that into account. Also, the only large grades are 2 midterms and a final, so don't take him if that stresses you.

Weinstock is a great professor, and hes got jokes. You're going to have to teach yourself a lot of the material but he provides you what you need. Grades are based off of 2 factors: grades from the lab, and 3 exams throughout the semester. Not a bad class and I would take again

Weinstock is an okay professor. His lectures can drone on and tend to go off topic for long periods of time, but he does crack jokes sometimes to keep you interested. Most of his lecture are spent guessing the right answers to his questions instead of him telling us. If you don't already have a little background in economics, good luck.

If you get distracted or bored easily dont take him. His class consists of only lectures and you will be listening to him talk for 2 hours nonstop. Hes also open about being a conservative and expressing his thoughts. Straightforward & easy grader but keep in mind your grade depends HEAVILY on 3 tests.

Regardless of teaching ability, it's important to note that as a person, he is fairly polarizing. Definitely one you'll either really like or really not care for. He's very openly conservative and will say things indicative of that. Overall a fairly abrasive person. Not the right style for me, but undoubtedly a favorite of many others.

A lot of people complain about his tests, but if you go to the review sessions the answers are practically given to you. He isn't afraid to voice his opinion and he's very educated with what he teaches. Economics can be difficult to understand, but if you explain the thought process during tests he's more lenient with grading. Overall a good prof!

Professor Weinstock is a fantastic Professor. His lectures are interesting and helps the student understand the material. His exams are weighted and much of the material is from the lectures. If you attend the lectures and pay attention and go to the review sessions it is not hard to get a great grade.

He knows a lot about economics, but his lectures are not what are on the test and he often goes on long tangents that are irrelevant. He is also very rude and opinionated. I had a large lecture section and attendance was only taken once by surprise. His tests are easy if you read the book and study my eco lab. 2 midterms and 1 final.

His tests are kind of hard to you will have to study for them. During lectures he always goes off topic and tries really hard to be funny. Labs prof helped me more than him and that class was 50 mins compared to his useless 2 hour lecture.

Such a funny guy, and keeps the lecture going even though its 2 hours it really doesn't feel like it compared to other classes. The exams are difficult at times, but if you go to the reviews they help sometimes too. If you ask him a question, he directly answers it. only downside is the lecture is so large, and he probably won't know who you are.

This guy is so annoying, he goes off on tangents about irrelevant things to the point where u don't know what is important and what's not. he doesn't stick to the syllabus(not even the exam dates) and he's really not funny, unless your sense of humor is annoying and rude. also confusing on what's actually due on the online textbook and what isn't.

Good choice for econ, funny and provides extra help if needed. Also is very helpful if you are considering a major or minor in econ.
