I found the class interesting. Assignments and tests were pretty straigtforward, it shouldnt be too hard to get full marks or close. You MUST go to all the classes though. In class assignments are basically free marks and are very helpful for the tests and final. Take home assignments werent too hard either or too time consuming.

Awful prof, he literally said "does anyone have any questions? You can't ask me later." He's pretty disrespectful and looks for pity from his students.. Also tries to buy his students with "free marks" in class if you correct him. Gives all assignment answers though as if that's a redeeming factor at all Compsci prof w nothing posted online! 10/10

Dr. Chau is a great prof. He makes the lectures interesting. The only thing I don't like about his teaching method is writes his code on paper. Overall good prof.

It's hard to take notes in his class. He doesn't have very much structure and seems to be all over the place. The class is really easy so it's not too bad though. His accent is not bad but can be confusing at times

We are 6 weeks into our database course, and have yet to use a computer or database software. We've just drawn some models and done some algebra with an intro to some SQL statements. I just took a look a Mr. Brown's CP363 website, and WOW! It makes Chau's course look like it was made by a sick old man that needs to get with the times (which it was)

Demonstrates absolute NO consideration to his students. Threw a PhD leveled project to an undergrad class because he wanted someone to help his Ph.D student to code her project. COPIED AND PASTED a MIDTERM from another university and used it as his own in another class. This person has neither ethics nor skill in teaching... avoid at all cost.

He gets the Worst Prof of the Year award. Doesn't teach you concepts, only examples, such as calculating the area of a pizza. Required you to remember codes for the exam, rather than logically deduce codes, such as the Tic-Tac-Toe algorithm. Doesn't seem to care much for his students... he laughs when he says something will be hard.

Horrible teacher, doesn't explain anything properly. Often would put code on powerpoint and not bother to turn the lights off, so you couldn't see what he was talking about to begin with. This 'teacher' is also rude when answering questions. The course jumps up in difficulty the day after the last drop date for the class, so much for 'introduction'

It's pretty much impossible to understand him. A little tip for you: all of his r's are pronounced as w's, so you might wanna get used to that. However, you can always count on him ending his lectures with his catch phrase "Until next time..."
