There is not much structure to her class, she'll sometimes assign something and forget she did, other times she'll give very vague instructions for assignments. However it's all read aloud homework, the actual exams/turned in assignments are very clear on what's expected and it's pretty easy to pass her class. She is very passionate and fun

Dr. Saggese has great intentions. She wants all of her students to learn, but sometimes can get frustrated when you don't understand everything. If you show up, study and let her know when you need help, you'll be fine. She also gives multiple extra credit opportunities which help a lot, and the study guides are identical to the exams.

Class is very easy. It helps if you have taken a good Italian class in high school. She is very kind and caring. Stay on top of your work and participate. The textbook is used for online access to homework, so it is necessary for you to buy it. Overall, not too difficult.

I struggled a lot with this class's homework load. While the homework that she assigns does help to solidify the material that you learned that day, I found myself spending at least an hour, if not more, on it a night. Other than that though, I enjoyed her class. If she knows that you deserve points, then she will give them to you.

Professor Saggese is one of my favorite professors in UD. I love her casue she's kind of like your grandma. She cares about you and always want to help you and want you to learn something. She's awesome! She helped me a lot! I highly recommend her if you are in Italian major or minor.

She is the best teacher I have ever had. She talks 95% in Italian, but makes sure you understand what she's saying. She really cares about her students as well as the program. She gives homework every night, although it isn't much. The workbook is used, as she wrote it too.

LOVED Profesoressa Saggese! If you take ITAL107, take it with her. She does give homework, but it does help you in the lessons she teaches. She's very knowledgeable and also very kind and funny. She knows how to connect with students and is always smiling.

She is a great professor. Super fluent in italian but not english. So it is a little hard to get a translation out of her. But she is still great! And VERY easy grader!!! Don't skip class. Three papers and one presentation. Be ready to read, A LOT!

She is an extremely smart lady! So adorable and so so helpful. Very clear about what the homework is and what will be on the exams. Really wants everyone to do well. Pay attention in class and do your homework and you will be fine. She is one of the sweetest professors I've had.

She is a nice lady. Mumbles alot and its hard to understand her but is a good teacher to take even for a class like 107. You can make mistakes or not even know what you are doing and she will still be understanding and have patience. Doesnt get frustrated as easy as most language teachers. Alot of assignments and homework every night. Take her.

Sweetest professor at UD. Honestly so cute and so caring about everyone. Easy to pass the class if you do your work and actually try. It's sometimes tough for her to hear but kindly ask her to repeat something and she will. Super helpful. Take her!

She is a really nice teacher but you can never understand her. She mumbles to herself most of the time and she never seems prepared. You can go to class without doing the homework and just make it up on the spot or tell her you dont know and she doesnt mind. Nice lady but she cannot tell time. She will hold you a minimum of 7 minutes after class.

I know a lot of people in my class hated her, but I didn't really have a problem with her. She presented the material in an interesting manner. She sometimes cut people off if they asked a question/got a wrong answer though

She is helpful on all accounts, always willing to hoist up struggling students. If you're lost, go visit her at office hrs. She tells you exactly what will be on the exam, so I guess you should go to class. The main issue I think is the accent, but on the other hand, do you really want a born-and-raised American teaching your Italian class?? NO!

Saggese can be difficult to understand at times but she is really committed to teaching well and helping students understand the material. The class itself was hard toward the end of the semester but she does a lot of review and also tries to make the class fun. Get to know her, she's a real sweetheart.
