Comment:
This class was a trainwreck. Do not take this professor if you don't have to. Timothy needs to retire. Does not give clear expectations of what he wants, and then grades harshly. 3 tests and a paper, and the test questions are 100% whack. Class is awkward and he can't use technology. No feedback and grades inconsistently. AVOID.

Comment:
Professor Miller is eccentric. He has a good heart and passion for his teaching, but is incredibly repetitive. His jokes get stale fast and the majority of the learning we did was reading old papers from previous students he handed out. He answers emails, but otherwise avoids technology. He gives out an absurd amount of paper. Buy a large binder.

Significant amount of papers- but easy. Let's just leave it at- he should retire. I hope you enjoy war stories, tangents, and repetition. VERY old fashioned. VERY. Lots of reading assigned, but read the whole story in class. Refers to self in third person a lot too. Means well.

Nice guy, but very all over the place, and with it being so lecture heavy it's hard to pay attention

My favorite professor at Millersville. I absolutely love him. He may seem like a nutcase and yes his handwriting is awful because of Vietnam. Go to his office hours, ask him to explain his feedback, you won't be disappointed. For me, it was an easy A and its a graduate level course. Every exam was take home, and there were only 4 of them. TAKE HIM

This class was taken as an elective and it was WAY too hard for a 200 level class... You cannot read his feedback so it is not useful to students. Expectations are not clear and handouts are absurdly long and confusing... Does not use D2L. You only need the books for quotes on the essays so don't buy them. Don't take unless you have to.

Dr. Miller is extremely passionate. He loves what he teaches, and wants you to also. While he wants you to read the texts, he gives a bunch of handouts that have everything you need to know. As long as you seem to have an understanding of the material that he gave you, you will do well.

This man is my favorite professor at Millersville. He deserves a higher rating than he has because he's absolutely amazing. He tells you exactly what he's looking for and if you reproduce everything that he tells you to "make a note" of in class, you will do well. He also has an extremely interesting past, and his stories are why students love him!

Dr. Miller is definitely one of my favorite professors. He goes off topic, but you'll never be bored. I found his stories to be unique and inspirational. His expectations may be confusing, but you will most likely receive an A in the course if you follow his handouts. Also, If you need to turn an assignment in late he is very understanding.

Dr. Timothy Miller is overall an amazing human being, as well as a great professor. He tells great experiences from, as he says, his "life lived and learned." He also really knows his stuff. While his class doesn't focus on discussions and is lecture based, you will learn to see similarities in the ancient classics (Genesis, the Odyssey, etc.).

When it comes to Miller (in any class), as long as you at least skim some of the hand outs he gives, know his talking points, and understand very generally what the books he covers are about, you will not get lower than a B in any of his classes. I've taken him twice, never read a single page of a book he's covered, and gotten B's in both classes.

A few in class essays, and lots of lectures. It's sometimes hard to focus. It's best to read on your own, and use the professor as a guide. You can get away with missing a few classes, but I don't recommend skipping all of it. Take notes. Use Sparknotes and online videos to best help you with the tests. Very difficult. Never got higher than a B+

Dr. Miller is a hilarious and sweet guy who obviously loves Shakespeare. He is passionate about it. My only issue was the three hour lectures that were hard to pay attention to. He does give you many handouts with his lecture notes on them so you can study for the pretty simple essay tests. Not very tech-savvy, but it's not a deal-breaker

Comment:
Miller is probably the weirdest professor i've ever had. When he gets off topic, he rambles on and on about the same things, though he's usually hilarious. His on-topic ramblings, however, feel like the diatribes of a madman. He is clearly very intelligent, but he isn't the best person to teach college.

I was frustrated with this course up until the first test. This course is an easy A or B if you take notes on what he says. His exams may seem challenging, but he goes over the test questions a class before the test. Dr. Miller also has some very interesting stories that he will tell the class from time to time. I strongly recommend him.

Dr. Miller is one of the best English professors. He knows the material, and his love of teaching is obvious when he lectures. The grade is based off of a paper and a few tests.

The most awesome and laid-bac professor I had at Millersville. He's a bit wonky and scatter-brained, but he knows his stuff, and is adamant on helping you succeed. He wont waste your time or money.

I love Dr. Miller. He is so sweet and he is a very knowledgable man in his field of Science Fiction and Literature. His lecture style might be a little bit unorganized, but Dr. Miller is such a sweet guy so I'll let it slide. His handouts are important, keep those close-by for test time, you'll need them for your essay exams.

Comment:
Dr. Miller isn't too bad, but I did feel like showing up to his class was a waste of time. His lectures are very disorganized and he was never able to cover everything in class. The good thing about him is that there is not much work to do. As long as you read the materials and can write well, I'ts an easy A!
