I took a class with him last semester and I loved it. He was very funny and nice. Very easy to contact and talk to. He is a very easy grader. As long as you show up to class and put in effort you will pass no problem. He is always down to answer questions and takes time to make sure you understand everything.

"American Presidency" with Dr. Kneeland was so fascinating, especially during the election year and being Fall 2020 with all the COVID stuff. I thoroughly enjoyed the class and it actually made me switch into a History major because of it. Kneeland is so smart and beyond kind. He was very responsive to emails, was very helpful in and out of class.

I have taken so many classes with Dr. Kneeland and I always know what to expect. He is a great professor! Honestly, I think he knows everything about everything. I have learned so much from him. I would highly recommend that everyone, even people not really interested in history, take at least one class with Dr. Kneeland.

Kneeland is an amazing individual. He is knowledgeable, interactive, kind, and motivating. Kneeland is not a hard grader, just do the work, and reach out during office hours or through email for help. The class is not very interesting but Kneeland is able to navigate through the material and create lively discussions. You are graded by few things.

I took his class online and his assignments were long and ridiculous, his TAs would grade them so youd spend 2 hours doing them and theyd be graded in 10 minutes, his final exam was so ridiculous and he graded it so unfairly and never gave us any feedback on papers or the exams. He gave us a surprise project that brought down my grade 10 points.

Definitely dedicated to history, but if you do not like taking notes based only on the professor speaking, i would not take this class. He is funny and engaging, but sometimes is difficult to follow along. All quizzes are online and the answers are on quizlet. You will have a lot of reading to do outside the class as well. Midterm is 'old quiz q's.

One of my favorite teachers. Took many courses with him as a history major, he was great in each subject. Field trip, movies, going outside, you name it he does it all as a way to better the class experience. Also even once you graduate he is there to help. Cant say enough positive things about him!

Dr. Kneeland is a good example of a teacher who cares about the subject they teach. His lecture style is very entertaining, as he has a good sense of humor. His ability to appeal to both sides of the aisle politically makes things fair and balanced. Excellent teacher.

Forgot the course number but it was campaigns, voters, and elections. BEST professor I have EVER had. So respected and very well educated. Also extremely hilarious and makes class really enjoyable. Lectures are incredibly unbiased which makes the class a million times better. I transferred but I would take him again in a heartbeat. TAKE HIM!

Great teacher. Very willing to help you if you need it. There was a good deal of reading for the class and 3 or 4 papers but he negociated the deadlines with the class, and gives you most of the information you will need to write them. You need to put forth effort but your grade will reflect what you do. Take as many classes of his as you can.

Very knowledgable, enthusiastic teacher. A lot of lecturing, but he makes it interesting. Lots of reading and a lot of writing, but I learned a huge amount in this class. Seems like if he knows you're working hard, he will make the grade reflect that fact.
