DO NOT TAKE IF YOU WANT TO LEARN! PSY211 is where you're supposed to learn how to use SPSS and he does not know how to use it at all, says "that's what TAs are for." The only reason I got an A in the class was because he let us hand write our tables/graphs. I fell so far behind in higher level PSY classes because I never learned how to use SPSS.

This class has 7 homework assignments and 7 tests, one of each gets dropped. His tests and homework follow his lecture and pp presentations almost perfectly, so if you show up and study the pp its an easy A. He uses a program called SPSS which is kind of confusing but if you ask he will tell you exactly how to do it.

You're going to have to teach yourself in this class. His exams are essay exams based on random info in that are only in the text book and readings he sends you. His power points only give a broad idea of the material covered in class. He's an interesting, smart guy who knows the material, but he just doesn't teach you. Prepare to write&read A LOT.

I think that he would be a good prof for anything but this class. It is sad that a man that does not know anything about the topic is teaching it. I am not sure how I ended with a grade that I did. We would go through the book for the exams and still get bad grades even though he said, "everything is in the book". Don't do this to yourself.

This class was a nightmare. He is a horrible teacher & flies through the slides, doesn't give you enough time to take notes, & won't post them online. This is the only class that I won't be getting an A in this semester & it's 100% due to his awful teaching (I'm lucky to not have done worse). I would not recommend him for 211 to my worst enemy.

Worst professor I've had at CMU. This class was SO frustrating. He didn't teach us at all. When asked a question, he'd try to make someone else in the class answer it. He doesn't know what he's talking about and he has no clue how to use the SPSS program which he expects us to do assignments on. He also added extra assignments all worth 100 its

I would not recommend taking this class with him. He doesn't really teach the material, he expects you to read the book and teach yourself. Do not give much guidance on homework either

The worst professor I have had at CMU! He doesnt do examples, give study guides, or answer questions. He refuses to learn how to use the SPSS software which we have assignments on. He says everything is in the book and that's the only way to learn. His lectures are completely pointless and he is rather rude to students in the class.

Colarelli covers maybe a few topics in each chapter & expects you to learn everything on your own. He also expects us to do assignments using a program called SPSS, which he doesn't even know how to use. Lectures do not help learn the material and his test are also almost half T/F. The only positives are that he is a nice man & has a cute dog.

The worst professor that I've had at CMU. He flips through lectures so fast and explains nothing. He'll say "it's in the book". It is evident that he does not put effort into this class. He expects everyone to learn everything on their own and puts random questions/true and false on the exams. Also, he gives out random grades on assignments.

If you have half a brain and you attend lecture once in a while, you can pass this class with an A. Read over the ppts he posts on bb and you're golden. That's it. I thought this class would be a challenge, but frankly my ENG 201 class was harder than this. Interesting, but it's pretty much common sense. Would recommend for UP IVA or PSY students.

Really easy teacher and willing to take late assignments without reductions. Weekly easy quizzes with all of the material for each one on Powerpoint presentations from Blackboard. Very laid back and makes his material interesting. If you have the opportunity to take him, DO IT

He was an awesome professor! Weekly quizzes on fridays. Class was fun and interesting. Class isnt manditory but still worth going to. But it is possible to just go on fridays to take the quiz if you read the power point and the chapter. There are 15 quizzes and lowest 5 are dropped. 2 easy reaction papers and 1 term paper, no exam. Take this class!

Awesome class. It was so easy. All you had to do was talk about sex, and relate everything back to sex. Pay attention and participate, it's fun.
