Attendance not mandatory, but you will get a zero on the quiz for the day. He makes a ton of mistakes in class and needs to be corrected. It took him a month and half nearly to grade our first test, and I'm yet to receive our last one and it's 2 days before the final. His grade scale is easy, but he is horrible.

DONT TAKE his classes! He is useless, you have to teach yourself out of the book if you want to pass! He makes math class miserable!! Worst techer I have ever had!

Pretty much useless. Taught myself out of the book, as he just reads off his notes he makes you buy. He makes dozens of mistakes a class, yet if you make a mistake on a test, its little to no partial credit. Once solved a series, and wrote convergent instead of divergent-0 pts for the problem! Put the 3rd test with a final on finals day, frustrating

You have to buy HIS packet of notes and all he does is read them. You get 10 pt quizzes almost every week and they are kinda difficult. BUT! you can use the notes and book for exams! And you have 15 assignments that you do on the computer, he lets you re-do the asignments if you mess them up. all in all he is boring but easy grade.

If you do all ten easy homework assignments and get a high grade on the first, easiest test, you can get a C. Second and third tests were impossible. He does not teach what is necessary to pass the tests (no clear examples). His notes were incomprehensible. I passed, but not by much. Stats is already a difficult subject, find a more able teacher.

Great teacher, open book tests, extremely easy computer assignments, and graded on a curve where as low as a 90 was a straight A, and 85 for an A-

Overall, I just didn't enjoy this class. He's old and makes mistakes a lot. There's a quiz every day and they aren't that hard and there is 3 tests which are kinda challenging. He was late almost everyday. He didn't teach us much...

You have to buy his notes for the class which isn't a bad idea except for the fact that you can't read them. He makes mistakes in his work and notes all the time and you have to constantly correct him. His tests are nothing like the practice ones and they are super long. If you ask anyone at SVSU who knows him they'll tell you the same thing.

Not a very good professor. Just illustrates instead of teaching, and stands in front of board as he is writing so you can not even see what he is talking about. And, the practice test that he puts online are nothing like the actual test given in class!

He doesn't explain anything and if you ask questions he will say "Well we learned that last class". The only good thing is his grading scale but it still doesn't help when most of the class is failing. Basically I didn't go to class but instead the Math Resource Center. They taught me more in 15 mins than the entire semester of his classes.

If you need to be taught statistics, STAY AWAY. If you can teach yourself with a decent textbook then you hardly ever need to come. He cannot work the problems in the book correctly. He is often befuddled. He is often late to class. You have to buy a packet that is ALL of his lecture notes. Good place to take a nap (and many do).

Has got to be the most worthless piece of trash on this planet. Do yourself a favor and fill out a guest application for Delta and take Diff EQ there. Did not turn back any tests/quizzes/homework BEFORE THE FINAL and he forgot to submit our final grades. This man is a moron and needs to retire, he has got to be pushing 85-90 years old.

OMG! I fell asleep in every class. Material taught in class is usually not on exams. Will not answer questions, talks in almost a whisper, doesn't care if anyone is even listening. If you don't know Statistics, then you will have to learn it on your own. This prof needs to retire, he cannot recall anything!

He was never at his office hours, was forgetful, and is not good at explaining concepts beyond reading from the textbook, which in and of itself is confusing.

Do not take him! Haynes was definitely confusing and extremely incompetant with technology and displaying his presentations. He was unavailable during office hours. The tests were difficult and confusing and in cases, had little relevance to the material taught. Only saving grace was generous grading scale.

SO Professor haynes is the most worthless boring professor on the face of the earth. But he will make your life ungodly easy because you don't have to do a damn thing to pass his class. You won;t know a damn thing about differential equations but you'll prolly have the grade you want
