I have tried to think about the strengths, but, unfortunately, they are non-existent. Banerjee is by far the worst professor in the entire institution This is primarily because her assignments seem written in such a way as to purposely fail you She will do this and then write feedback, stating OH, YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS, THAT, AND THIS

She is a nice enough prof, but no matter how much time and effort you put in you will not get a good grade. I am in my last semester and have proficient writing skills but she would not have any of it. I took the feedback from the first paper, and implemented it into the second paper and there was no improvement of grade. She is also condescending

This course ought to be the worst online course ever I don't even know where to start banerjee doesnt provide clear expectations whatsover and is not the best lecturer she is definitely kind and all but the teaching is seriously a different story and gave me such a bad experience that ill probably fail the course

Dr Sikata Banerjee made every effort to deliver lectures in the form of power-points, notes, and the like Dr Banerjee is also very understanding if a situation emerges where you think the grade assigned does not reflect the quality of your work Thanks for teaching GNDR301, Dr Banerjee One area of improvement is providing clearer guidelines for sure

Dr Banerjee excels in the area of research and authoring books However students must take into consideration the fact that this course may be the hardest course they take in the sense the notes are vague and largely copy-paste of the book to be accurate As a polite comment, Dr Banerjee should spend more time on voice over pp and write clearer notes

I was very much looking forward to this class with Dr. Banerjee, as I had heard great things. Unfortunately, her online format is AWFUL. I'm sure she is a great lecturer, but unfortunately she did not post any lectures. She expected us to get by with readings and power point slides. It was very difficult, and I dropped the class towards the end.

I'm a gender studies major and heard lots of good things about the professor but these reports literally were not true Banerjee would post very confusing mini audio voice over powerpoints and was rude with emails like for example simple one word answers to important questions Vague instructions and then fails you, rude tone, and emails

Dr. Banerjee is one of the most intelligent, articulate and talented professors out there when it comes to gender studies. She offers very captivating and informed lectures, clear grading guidelines, and lots of opportunity for class discussion and inclusion. Tougher marker, but definitely fair and approachable. Readings are heavy but relevant.

Banerjee is a wonderful lecturer and her class material is super interesting, but these things are sullied by how much work and reading is expected for this course. She assigns readings, assignments and tests as if her class is the ONLY one youre taking. This might not be so bad if she were a lenient grader, but shes definitely not. Shes harsh!

I looked forward to every class with Dr. Banerjee and was never disappointed. such a great prof- she cares about her topic and her students, and that really fosters student engagement and a sense of community in classes. has quite a few assignments, but mostly little - felt like a lot by the semester's end, but very manageable. take her class!

Dr. Banerjee is amazing! Her lectures are fabulous, she's amazing at running discussions and never makes you feel stupid. You'll learn so much and take so much theory from her classes to everything else you do.

An intense but fascinating course prepping us for our graduating project. Banerjee is an amazing lecturer but an incredibly tough grader. If you do not know how to write like the authors of the academic articles you may not do too well, so try to learn the formula. I wish this class had a larger focus on our final project, mostly academic procedure

AMAZING prof. Cant wait to take more classes with her. She is incredibly fair in both her teaching and her marking. Very clear and easy to learn from. One article due per class and multiple films - loved the discussion portion and I usually hate group work. Very intelligent and well read about these topics. Would highly recommend.

Would have liked her to teach a bit more. Between discussing films and giving lectures solely on one reading, I didn't get much out of the lectures that I didn't get by watching and reading alone. But fairly easy to do well if you listen to her feedback. Don't be worried about a low mark at first -- lots of assignments and she'll let you improve!

Her India course is amazing. HEAVY workload but I learned so much and she is a very passionate lecturer. Plus the Bollywood films were a fun and a unique way to connect class topics to material. Worth it in the end.

A lot of people talk about another gender 100 prof being the best, but I couldn't fit any of her courses into my timetable. Dr. Banerjee ended up being a fantastic alternative! Going to lectures and taking decent notes with little studying got me an A in the course. Lectures were interesting and she was quite good at hosting class discussions!

I loved this class. Incredible material, great lectures, fantastic teacher! I would take it again and hope to take more of her classes in the future. This class definitely requires you to do the work though. The tests and assignments are challenging but were based on interesting material. Would recommend this class.

I loved the class and Dr. Banerjee held it well. The assignments were clear as she handed out a sheet outlining her expectations and explained them in class. The only vague assignment was the journals but she took this into consideration when she marked and explained her expectations in greater detail for the next journal. Great teacher and class.
