Comment:
Probably one of the most useless classes I've ever attended as he basically read word for word right out of the textbook, aka why even attend class? When people asked questions, they would just get a snarky response that was kind of condescending... And to finish it all off, you only got graded on ONE paper worth 70%??!?! Hard pass.

The Awesome comment was correct, open mindedness is an asset. If your mind is closed and you've already made up your mind before the class even begins you learn nothing since a prof can't shed light in a dark locked room.

Worst professor I have ever encountered. Told our class several times that dinosaurs lived at the same time as Native Americans. Uses the class as an audience to vent his anger. When asked questions, he will respond with something vague and go off on random tangents. Final paper is 60% of mark, due on last day. Attendance is 10% so can't even skip.

Alfred comes across as extremely anti-white. He lumps all white people into one category: privileged. He speaks in circles and never answers questions. Having to endure him looking himself up on wiki pages was a horrible experience.

No Impartiality, and I learned nothing. Easy credits, cuz the final was take home, and the only other marks were for showing up.I went into the class with a good attitude, wanting to learn more about culture and traditions that weren't my own.I came out knowing that if I tried to learn about native culture, I would be ostricized.

Class was unorganized, and lectures rambled around. When asked for clarification on subject matter, he sometimes got almost 'aggressive'. My guess, was that he didn't know, and was trying to bluff his way out. Try to see him 1 on 1 in office hours. He is an intelligent, well spoken, and generally a nice guy; you can learn alot more there.

He is quite unclear about his directions and about feedback. Very easygoing person. Very few class meetings...most work done on own. Very expensive art class.

Easy class--free marks just for showing up. Offers a non-eurocentric view of the world.

he tells it like it is. If others were truly educated on native issues, history, and so on they wouldn't find his class so offensive. I guess some ppl just can't handle the truth.
