Doctor G is a great professor. He is very passionate about Germany and Poland and their history and culture. He is a very knowledgeable teacher, a kind mentor, and an excellent trip planner. This study abroad was one of the best classes I've taken. Not horribly difficult, but definitely worth doing any work he asks you to do.

this class was a joke he gave you the two tests prior to taking them basically. I didn't do a single reading throughout his class if you needed information you could just google and get it. On top of the two tests i wrote one research paper which was a joke and i recieved an A on it. I did nothing and got a B+ in his class.

What a helpful person! I learned so much in his capstone, and I really, really learned how to write research papers well! What a great history prof! Highly, highly recommended. His initial impression may be cocky, but he's really funny and nice! Take his classes!

Are you kidding me? I am reading all these bad reviews of him and he is my favorite prof. I can't believe this. His lectures are boring? I...I am amazed! I love his lectures. Sometimes, he says, "Okay, I'm giong to stop lecturing now because..." and I'm like NO!!!

Stark is a great guy, a very nice man who really knows his stuff. Is not so difficult on students that they begin to restent him, but his lectures are possibly the most boring I have ever experienced. Nice guy, boring lectures.

Gary Stark is a nice guy, and he is very well-informed and passionate about history. It's just that he doesn't communicate well. I like him, but wouldn't recommend him. Too much emphasis on groupwork. Interesting subject, but makes it lethally boring.

Very tough class. it requires a lot of work and still ended up with a C. take HIST at a community college instead of gv. Gary can be a nice guy though if you visit him

I found him interesting. Lectures are kind of boring, and the tests are kind of difficult, but he's not a bad teacher by any means. Really knows his stuff, can elaborate on almost anything you say to him

He's polite and he knows his stuff. Hands out quite a few assignments and grades a little harsh, but if you pay attention you will learn things.

Was an interesting class. Gave the students the option of what assignments they could do and gave the students the option to pick some topics to cover in class.

Good Prof, lets you choose your own assignments and not too hard, although he is unorganized and sometimes unclear about what he expects. Overall, though, I would recommend taking him.
