Great prof if you're into the subject matter and don't just want a bird course. Very knowledgeable. His courses cover a lot of material, fast. Sometimes talks about alternative (non-neoclassical) viewpoints. Tests are pretty fair. You get used to his Spanish accent very quickly.

He has some accent but it's understandable. He tries his best to explain but still it's confusing. His course note is good but there are too much material in it. His writing is not very clear nor neat. His exams are pretty hard because you have to be very specific or else you lose all mark. There are only a few questions on exam which worth a lot.

-He is very knowledgeable, but can not really teach his knowledge in a simple manner. You will need to study his course notes a lot. His midterms are straight forward but you can not really make mistakes as the midterms are out of like 25-30 marks. Missing a lecture, you will miss a ton of information.

Great prof! Really knows his stuff. Fair when marking. Kind of rude when you ask him questions. No final. Midterms are out whatever the weight of it so for example 1 question sometimes = 3% of final mark. overall great guy and coursenotes are very helpful.

Very mean when I ask him questions. Bute he knows the material well. The problem is the exam with x marks is worth x% overal.. some of the short question are worth 3mark.. so 3% overall .... extremely difficult to do well in this course

Avoid at all costs. Lectures, notes and text all use different notations (some use T, some use K. Pi=profit but when he writes it on the board it looks like an H). Exams are deadly. 1/3 fail rate expected. No TA for my class, doesn't answer emails so you have to make his office hours work. No solutions given to most practice questions either.

A passionate professor that teaches an interesting course. Class is mandatory. Despite generally talking fast, he'll make sure to slow down or repeat things that clue in on what is going to be on the test. Non cumulative tests are fair if you just study a bit. Overall a great course.

Great professor who is deeply involved in the subject matter of the course. Note taking is important in this class since his exam questions are very specific. Grade of 80 is achievable in this course if you put the effort. Learned a lot from this course and definitely recommend it for ECON majors or anyone who is interested in economic history!
