The class had a lot of lecture and reading, but only 2 tests and 1 big research paper for undergraduate students. Open note/book tests so if you attend class you are FINE! Her lectures can get boring and make you tired but stick through it, she's a very intelligent woman.

Nice boring class. Lots of videos. I now have an anthropology degree and I think this course was harder than it had to be.

She's an intelligent, considerate person, but her TAs do all of the work. Her lectures are uninspiring and most of the films are uninteresting. The discussion section can be helpful but painfully led. The material has great potential to be interesting, but I didn't find it so in this class. Tests are random material.

Sometimes boring. It definitely helps if you go to the lectures and your section discussion. Don't miss the movies and read the textbook! Otherwise, if you study a fair amount, you'll get an A.

Highly intelligent, knowledgeable professor, who genuinely cares about a student's learning. I haven't found any class session to be boring. Of course there is alot of reading, as college is about learning, not griping about attendance policies and note-taking.

Loved this class! Had no interest prior at all.Lots of extra credit opportunities. Make sure you pay attention to ALL of the movies and take quality notes, including locations!Read the short stories in the smaller book. She is a really sweet lady and willing to explain anything!Lectures are boring but important. She def knows her stuff!

Most boring class I've ever taken. Attendance is always take (but you can have friends sign you in) Tests are too short. You have to do so much reading and questions on test cover random things. Do all of the reading and look at notes.

She is horrible at lecturing, clearly inteligent but her lectures are random and she speaks increadiblly too fast to take notes. Her tests are short, and specific. Read the text, watch the movies and go to section to turn in the discussion questions. If you do all that you will do well.

Really is the nicest person ever. Class is boring and so are the readings. You must come up with your own worldview/theory for a 10 page final paper. 2 tests. Read only the 2 theory books, ignore the others. You must know the stuff for the all essay tests, but if you know it, you just write what you think about it.

Lecture is really boring, and you have to go routinely because of the weekly films. If you get a good section TA they will help you but even they don't know what will be on the test. Tests are really random and short compared to the amount of information you have to study.

THE MOST BORING CLASS EVER, NICE LADY. LECTURES ARE TORTURE, BUT THE CLASS IS NOT VERY DIFFICULT. THE HARDEST PART IS DOING THE READINGS, BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST AS BORING AS SHE IS.

She's practically the nicest human ever. She's also incredibly intelligent and versed in her field along with other fields. Unfortunately, her lectures can be kind of scattered and sometimes sleep-inducing. Movies are atrocious.

I don't know why people rip her. The class was a joke, tons of extra credit, one page assignments in section discussions. I made an A on everything. Doesn't matter what TA you get. Take notes, class is boring and movies are atrocious, but very easy.
