Easily the best prof I've had, very in touch with her students and willing to help. She made a GroupMe with all of her students and she was very responsive to questions. For online she would send us multiple long lecture videos to watch each week (sometimes like 4 hours of material to watch for a week). Exams are similar to class examples and HW

Amy Austin was the best math professor I've had at TAMU. She was a part of our groupme for the class and answered EVERY question that came across that chat. Very kind and also pretty engaging in lectures. Generally the kind of prof you want to have. If you can, get her!

I get the hype. Very straightforward class because her lectures, quizzes, and activities all contain the exact same style of questions she asks on the exams. Only had one lecture per week and made us watch lecture vids outside of class. Her lecture vids can be very long though. Very solid choice, made calc 3 very understandable and easy.

Loved her! She was super nice, responded to emails and messages quickly, and moved due dates back if we expressed concern. She really knows what shes doing and theres no big surprises on her tests if you do your homework on your own and follow along with her practice problems.

Dr. Austin is a really good professor. I didn't take MATH 152 but I had to study only a few hours a week in her class to do well. Overall a fair grader and a really good professor (love her teaching style!). However, the format of her online class felt like a waste of time when going to lectures since lecture time was used to ask questions.

Professor Austin has been a great teacher. You can always reach her on the GroupMe as she is extremely active when students need help. The energy in this class was great and so was the professor! She is pretty lenient if you're a good class and will sometimes push back hw deadlines.

I bought into the hype and took her. She is pretty good, probably better than most of the other options. I wasn't a fan of the way she did her online class. She used class time for quizzes and such and made us do lectures outside. This combined with webassign created an insane amount of hw. For me, calc is still challenging no matter who teaches.

Professor Austin has extremely clear and coherent lectures. Her teaching style is extremely intuitive and she lets you know exactly what she expects you to know on the exams. Her exams are basically the same as the problems done in class and on the homework.

Austin is the best math prof I have taken here at A&M. She cares about the student's success and makes Cal 3 feel easier than the previous calculus classes. The lectures can be pretty long but if you hang tight it will be worth your time. Test wise it is pretty fair and easier than many of the other professors. She is awesome!!!!

Absolutely love Dr. Austin. She is truly the best. I didn't do too well at first but her office hours, WIR and MLC helped me to get an A. Calc 3 was tough but she made it manageable. Make sure to do your hw, assignments, and attend classes since that's how you will stand out and be on top of your class. Consider yourself lucky to have her.

Class is hard, but the MLC is there to help. Attend the weekly reviews she hosts. Watch the recorded lectures. Lectures are very long, but taking notes and understanding everything is very important. She really cares and if you ask a question she generally answers very transparently. My favorite math teacher of all time! Math IS possible with her.

One of the best math professors in the department. If you get the chance to take her, take her!! She responds to emails super fast, and you could tell that she wants the best for her student. Make sure to attend her lectures or watch her lecture videos because that alone will help you significantly.

Dr. Austin is an absolute gem! She's dedicated to helping us succeed! She replies to emails super fast, & she does the MLC sessions which are extremely helpful. She will explain things multiple times if you ask her. However, you will have to work for an A, the class is lecture heavy (you will spend about 3 hrs each week watching lecture videos).

Professor Austin is an awesome professor. In an online format, she does record her lectures and posts them ahead of time; you're expected to watch them on your own time. I will say that they are very long and tedious to do however, they are very informative. I felt well prepared for exams because of them and all of the homework!

He is an amazing teacher she explains concepts well. The only thing that is hard is the free responses consider she is very harsh on small mistakes. Other then that she makes you work to learn for this class.

Professor Austin is a nice teacher and knows the material well. She obviously cares a lot about her students succeeding and is willing to help. However, I found her lectures pretty boring. She is good at explaining, but sometimes it was hard for me to pay attention.

Great prof for 251. The first 2 units are pretty easy, but the last two require lots of work. She gives so many resources for tests and always answers questions. For tests review the homework and practice tests.

Austin is almost universally understood to be the best math prof at TAMU. I was delighted to discover that I got her when they released professors. I had taken 251 before and dropped, so I knew what to expect for cal 3 already. She made it orders of magnitude easier to understand. The trick is in her lectures. She just makes it click. Good bull!

Amy made a hard class like calculus 3 doable. It was obvious all semester that she cared about her students and wanted us to succeed. The material is tough, so go to class and pay good attention, and you should do fine. The fact that covid-19 forced us online is where my grade went wrong, but that was not Amys fault. She was great about emailing!
