The reason so many students have a problem with him is they expect to show up, follow a set plan, and leave with a grade. Jack doesn't work like that, he grades based on your comprehension and your engagement with the material. its' really sad to see people give him low marks because he's more concerned with what you learn more than memorize

Terrible teacher. Took this class on-line. Just gave a grade on what HE thought you SHOULD have said, not what you DID say. STAY AWAY FROM HIS CLASS IF YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!

Having moved on to a bigger university, I can say I don't understand what he's doing in Trenton. I didn't like the class, but his views and mine differed greatly. The only complaint I have besides him being too advanced for NCMC is I felt he was too preferential to his own views when grading for an ethics class where there is no set right or wrong.

People expect a free ride with Doc. He is a great teacher, but you have to show him and make an effort. He won't just give you a grade. I took him for 3 classes and still think the world of him. If you wanna free ride, go somewhere else.

People give him a bad name, but most people just want to slide through his class and not put forth any effort. He's tough for a reason. No teacher has better prepared me for my move to a bigger university. He was always available when I had questions or needed one-on-one help with my papers.

How helpful can he be when the entire semester is just writting a term paper that is very biased and he graded down if you disagreed with him. The midterm was the rough draft of the term paper and the final was the final draft

No grade inflation here - you get what you earn. Very willing to work 1-on-1 with students. Just a serious prof at a school where students sometimes don't want to be serious.

Being a juco professor his students get a chance to move on and see a wide variety of professors. Now 3 years after having him I still realize that he is the worst professor I've ever taken
