Walters is the best professor in the economics department! He is so knowledgable and makes learning economics fun. He teaches the class using current events and having the students make predictions on how different policies can affect the economy. It is sad that he is retiring because he is such a great professor, but it is definitely well deserved

Lecture heavy class, required to read the textbook. Only gives quizzes plus midterm and final exam. Quizzes are easy IF you read the textbook thoroughly. Honestly I never read and I really should have gotten a D, but he gave me a C+. Really nice guy

Definitely a good entry level class. Weekly quizzes, which he always posts an almost identical practice quiz for. You can tell he's such a smart guy, and spends part of each class talking about current events and how it relates to what you're learning. His lectures can sometime feel a little long though, try to take him for 50 mins if you can.

Professor Walters was my favorite professor during my first semester at Loyola! His lectures were really interesting and his class was really engaging. There were weekly quizzes which were helpful to keep me on track with the readings. He was very caring and there for help in his office.

Dr. Walters was a great professor. His lectures were interesting and he explained everything thoroughly. He is a huge baseball fan and makes many references to it. He gives a lot of quizzes (not too hard) as well as a midterm and a final. BUY THE TEXTBOOKS. most of his lectures and quizzes come from them. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Professor Walters is a great professor and his powerpoints are always online. Read the textbook and the supplemental book. He'll ask you about the examples and arguments in each. Lectures are good, but sometimes skip around and he'll occasionally go on rants. Quizzes and midterm are easy but tricky, so take your time.

He's a great teacher, no Hw just weekly quizzes, two are take home. I'd recommend reading because he will throw on questions on quizzes that determine if you read or not. His Grading Scale is good (Only need a 90 for an A) but the way he weighs assignments needs to be fixed. 30% Quizzes 40% Final 25% Midterm and 5% Participation. Final is hard.

Walter's class is involved, there's a quiz every week. If you're interested in the material it's pretty interesting. NEXT SEMESTER HE'S NOT GOING TO LET STUDENTS USE COMPUTERS IN CLASS (SPRING OF 2016). So if that's an issue, don't take his class. Powerpoint and text book heavy.

Walters is really interesting and very cool. He wants to see everyone do well and tries to make things as interesting as possible. He gives weekly quizzes but they are almost always take home so they really help your grade. He gives you a practice midterm so you know what to expect. He is a must take, one of the best economics professors.

Hands down the best professor I've ever taken. I don't care if it's an 8am and you're not an econ major, if you can take him do it. Walters is the professor you'll remember in 15yrs. Very smart and cares about his students but you're not skimping out of any work. You can agree with him but if you can't back it up you're still wrong.

I certainly looked forward to attending his class to. Quizzes alternate between in class & take home each week & are heavily based on the text book, so read up! No midterm, one paper & a final which you are given the questions to prepare ahead of time. If you're an econ major you can't leave Loyola w/o taking at least one course with Dr. W!

Walters is a fun teacher, he keeps you entertained in class but if you don't understand the material its easy to fall behind and fail. Quizzes every week and online homework ever two days. Read the text like its your bible if you take his course. Memorize the formulas, they are crucial

Professor Walters is the best. He makes economics so easy, and the class was so fun. I looked forward to it every day. There are online hw assignments which are kind of tough, but if you pay attention in class, you'll do so well. Quizzes in class are SO easy, midterm was kind of tough, but final was a breeze. TAKE! you'll love him!

Walters makes economics really easy to follow. Doesn't force people to participate. Weekly 10 point quizzes are easy if you follow the class lessons. Be sure to read the textbook chapters and do the online homework assignments and you'll do fine in this class. I recommend him.

Walters is a downright biased person. I absolutely hated his class. i couldnt sit through him bashing new yorkers just because he is from boston. He gives weekly graded homework assignments that are impossible. i taught myself the whole course. do not take him if you can avoid it!
