Professor Romero is so nice, but isn't always the clearest on what she expects from you. However, if you go to office hours and ask questions, that will help you understand what you need to do.

Professor Romero is the star of the Spanish department at Marist. She is the one to ask all of your question to, as other professors aren't as available on campus. She is always willing to work with you, even if you are taking her class or not. Her class is not easy, but if you work hard and put in the time, she recognizes that and appreciates it.

Dr. Romero is a good teacher but she expects a lot and can be a little unclear and scatter-brained at times. She's a sweet lady but her class is challenging, tests are hard, LOTS of reading.

I have her this semester and she is the sweetest, kindest professor I have had so far! Her classes are a little scattered sometimes, but she always knows exactly what she is talking about! She's willing to help with any topic, and really cares how her students perform. It seems intimidating at first but she's a sweetheart and makes the class so fun

I've had Professor Romero for two semesters and have enjoyed spanish with her both times! She is a bit scattered sometimes, but she's fair and does her best to help her students. As long as you do the assigned readings and work, you will be okay and she really appreciates the effort you put in, and is more than willing to help. I would take her!

She expects more than she says - if you read a story, be able to answer all the questions that follow. She also tends to assign things last minute. Tests are pretty average, nothing too tricky

Very scatterminded - assigns lots of papers and tests for almost every class but doesn't really go over them; class itself is easy and not much work, papers and exams are short but frequent. Easier to handle if you've had her before and know what to expect from her

She's really nice, but this class was terrible. She basically made me never want to take another Spanish class again. Her notes don't make much sense and the grade you get is based mostly on papers which we're supposed to "self-improve" on. Would not recommend.

She does not teach any of the material she requires you to know. There are quizzes almost every class and the rest of the class consists of her asking useless repetitive questions to everyone in the class. She's very hard to follow and is so incredibly disorganized. If you don't have a strong spanish background, don't take her.

By far my favorite teacher at Marist! I even switched to have her as my advisor. Yes, she's unorganized w notes on the board, but she knows everything she teaches by heart and is very passionate abt it. Only speaks Spanish in class so if you don't know spanish well, it might be difficult. I loved the class and thought it was soo interesting!

semi-difficult class; tests are hard so you definitely have to read the textbook; Romero is scatter-minded so difficult to keep up with sometimes, takes unclear notes... class will be fine if you know how to organize yourself, because Romero won't be too helpful about it

she is nice enough as a person, but as a teacher, she leaves no wiggle room whatsoever. if it's late, you get a zero. don't ask for extensions or any favors. she's rigid. no excuse not to be at marist to watch movies during snowstorms even though you Live a half hour away. that was ten points off my final grade. never want to take her again

This class seems intimidating at first but it's not that bad. Truly cares about her students and is always willing to help you out. Lets you rewrite your draft of the first 3 papers. Tests mostly on vocab and grammar. Definitely take her!

Very sweet woman and class was pretty enjoyable. Class wasnt too dificult, but I feel like I wasnt prepared enough now that Im in Adv Span. 2. I wish we spent more time talking in Spanish and applying it. Big on class participation. We had a few quizes, 2-3 papers, a midterm and final (which were pretty easy) and a final video group project.

hate spanish, love this professor. very nice lady, really wants to personally help students. class not too interesting, but bearable. I would take her again if I didn't hate spanish so much. Easy midterm & final, frequent quizzes, but not too hard.
