I did not go to class ever and I made a B in the class. I'm sure if I had not been taking so many courses I would have had more time to study and made an A. EASY CLASS. EASY A.

Great guy, very passionate about what he teaches. The whole class is just 3 tests and a final, but long as you show up and take notes, you'll be fine. He's interested in a lot of other stuff like art and history that he ties into the astronomy, so if you like that kind of thing he's definitely your guy. Best professor I've had at Texas State.

Doctor Olson was one of my favorite professors I've ever had. He is a real gem of a person; very genuine, kind, and unique in personality. His grading was solely based on tests, but as long as you attend most of the lectures and study what he highlights on the lecture notes, you should be good to go. Could not recommend him more.

Comment:
This professor goes too in depth. He waste a lot of time on very detailed things that are not covered on the test. He can spend an entire lecture going over a single question. He is super sweet but often goes on tangents that disengages the students. The course is poorly structured and you often will be confused on what you need to learn.

Olson is a great proff and he literally gives you handouts for notes for every lesson. I would just study the notes from class and the quizlet and I did well on all his exams. The only grades are exams so if you prepare well for them this class is an easy A. He likes to brag a lot about his research and books and tends to get off topic.

Donald is one of the sweetest professors! He truly cares and constantly says he doesn't want to ruin our non-science major lives, so he's very helpful when it comes to grading. Go to class, take advantage of his lectures. They do become a bit tedious and slightly boring if you're not into astronomy, but being at each lecture will benefit you.

Lectures are very boring but aren't necessary to go to. If you study the lecture notes he puts on TRACS then you should be good for the test, just pay attention to the little details because he makes test questions a little trickier. He is a sweet man who cares a lot about what he's teaching!

Olson is my favorite professor at Texas State! Even though lectures can be boring Olson is very funny which helps the lecture to be less boring. The class is very easy as long as you study the lecture notes and homework. Attendance is not mandatory but I suggest going because he does give hints on what can be on the exams.

Don Olson is the cutest old man ever! You don't really have to go to class (some old tests are online). Olson does what he can to make sure you have a good grade for the class - drops lowest test grade and then adds bonus points from homework assignments OR if your final exam grade was better than your other lowest test grade, it gets replaced.

Great guy. He's old school gives out handwritten notes but easy to follow along. Only grades are test so make sure you study. You can skip class and pass. Post notes online. He he knows his class is boring but he tries to make it fun. Very accessible. Test are long but his questions are more direct . He tells you exactly what to study in class

Dr. Olson is such a sweet and passionate old man. He finds a way to make physics relatable to every day life. However, sometimes he moves a little slow and he repeats himself a lot. We only had 3 homework assignments that didn't take more than 10 minutes and 3 tests plus a cumulative final. It's an easy A as long as you study for the test.
