A very intelligent, very educated, and VERY passionate woman. She loves the subject that she teaches, and she wants much the same from her students. She's a sweet woman, and her class is pretty easy as long as you keep up with the readings and do a great research paper. Meet deadlines and follow the feedback she gives you and you'll be fine!

Dr. Bryan is really nice, and her classes are interesting. But she is very vague and doesn't explain things well, so it's hard to get an idea of what she wants from assignments. And rather than use a textbook, she gave us links for articles to look up online, but none of them worked! There is also a 10-page paper. And it's a first year course!

A good history teacher, she uses weekly group discussions to get students to read the material. the reading/ writing level is about on average with any history 3000 level, roughly two primary sources and half a chapter every week. to do well in this course put a lot of effort into the paper.

She's a very passionate woman, easy to understand, very (VERY) unique, and ALWAYS willing to help. She's always got an ear, and really looks out for her students. Not only this, she marks very fairly - I would recommend her in a heartbeat and plan on taking her courses again, and again, and again!

Very nice woman, extremely hard marker. You have to work very hard to get a 60 in this course. I took it as an elective and was highly disappointed. For the amount of effort I had to put in I got very poor grades in return. If you don?t need to take this course for your program avoid it at all costs!!!!!

One of the most positive people that I met on the entire campus. Dr.Bryan is always eager to help and welcomes assisting you with your paper. Great professor and I'd jump at the opportunity to take another class with her.

Such a nice prof. Very helpful, knowledgeable and fair when it comes to assignments. Plus, she let us watch Monty Python! How cool is that? You need to be very alert during her lectures in order to take good notes, as she only provides an outline before class. So if you regularly attend class and are a decent essay writer, you should do fine.

A very nice lady who has an extreme passion for the material that she teachers. Her lectures are always very interesting, but I find her a bit unclear on assignments. Sometimes I get the feeling that she's not overly impressed with any of our work...

Good proff. Easy to do well and in class assgn an an easy way to get extra marks. Apart from these don't bother to go because the material is so boring. Easy to do good with no effort so try a little and get a good mark.

I found her good, but not great to be honest. There was a lot of material to cover for a first year course and I never was sure which parts of the course to center my studying on. That said, she is very nice, and very willing to help. I found that there were way too many marks alloted for class participation for a university course.

Very nice woman. She is always willing to help. With that said, sometimes I do not find her to be very clear on our assignments. Besides that, she is excellent. The readings are not easy either, and they take some getting used to. But if you go to class and the discussion groups you will be fine. Highly recommended.

Excellent professor - really knows her stuff and is very helpful to students as well. She expects students to work hard, but in the end, if you do work hard, you'll be well-rewarded. This course, and Dr. Bryan in generally are highly recommended.

Wow! Just an amazing person. She loves what she teaches and really knows her stuff. She is clear, helpful...just wonderful. I am usually an incredibly shy person,but her discussion classes helped me get over that, plus no need to be nervous about it, she is super helpful. A good course if you take it with her. You really learn with her.
