Comment:
Avoid this prof if you're taking his online courses. Takes marks off for seemingly very little reason on assignments, comments and feedback are often condescending. Lectures are helpful but his grading is so picky it makes it very very difficult to get a fair grade.

For the online teaching world I would hardly call him a prof since all he does is Pearson stuff. I'm not complaining since it's easy (even though I hate pearson). Feels like a waste of money since I payed to be taught by a human not Pearson.

Kam Chu was a very respectful prof that showed a clear passion for Economics. Sadly his downfall comes to whether you can understand what he is saying. I mean this in the nicest way possible but I genuinely could not understand what the guy was saying half the time. His accent was VERY thick. Due to this, his lectures became useless to me.

Avoid!!Maybe for the ECON 1010/1020 he would be ok. The book which he assigned was absolute garbage, his lectures are dry, he also graded very hard with little to no feedback as if this is a graduate level course. Only made it through about half the course material due to garbage time management. Tends to explain questions by going off on tangents

Dr. Chu is the nicest guy. He does his best teach a very dry and confusing topic, and is obviously an expert. Very polite, respectful, and downright hilarious. Yes he does have a thick accent, but you can get used to it. He does run overtime almost every class so keep that in mind when scheduling. Also, extra credit is everywhere regular attendees.

Kam is very respectful towards his students, especially if you attend class regularly. He is always in a good mood and makes jokes all the time. The only negatives are that he tends to go over time in his classes and that there is a language barrier.

He is disorganized the lecture time. Also, He is not finish the class on time. Its so hard to understand what he said and explain. And what he said, it makes me confused again. Its really hard to have a good mark with his teaching skills.

Honestly, I didn't like him at the beginning of the semester until I had difficulty with some parts of the course and went to meet him. He literally spent hours teaching me what he had already explained in class. If you can get past the language barrier, you'll find he's smart, hilarious, and cares about his students

Kam is such a nice prof and will try to help you if you go to see him, but I found it very difficult to understand his accent. Classes were pointless because his lectures were all over the place and didn't make much sense. I had to teach myself the entire course through the textbook and his very vague notes. Would not recommend.

I found him to be embarrassingly funny. Just don't stand out for any reason at all or else you'll be the butt of his jokes for the entire semester. Great professor, great marker, I'd recommend him. Has an interesting way to teach Economics. His notes were online so I found no reason to buy the book. MC questions for exams and midterms.

He's friendly and funny and not the worlds hardest marker. However, there is a language barrier that make him difficult to understand. His exams are half multiple choice so it's hard class too fail, but the previously mentioned language barrier makes it so that it is necessary to self teach some of the content.

Worst prof I have ever had! Starts every lecture by mumbling, I sat near the front of the room and couldn't hear him until about 15 minutes into class. Don't bother asking him for help, every time I went to his office for help or asked him a question after class, he turned me away. To the point that he told me he didn't have time to help students

Chu knows his material but he is not a good prof. His exams consisted of multiple choice and questions. The multiple choice are very straight forward and anyone who has read the book will do well. His questions consist of 6 or 7 parts, many of which are fill in the blanks. They do not come from the book and often blindside you.
