Really good math professor, if he could teach me math for the rest of my degree I'd be delighted. Super fair, as long as you put in the work you can get the grade, he doesn't try to trick anyone and is very direct and clear. Exams and quizzes were very fair and he gives you plenty of practice material.

Comment:

One of the best profs in the engineering faculty. He makes a hard course very feasible to understand and grades fairly and consistently. He's very easy to work with and has a lovely English accent. If you do bad in this course it's your own fault, Glyn is a gem.

Best Math Prof hands down. You always know what you're in for with Glynn. If you work for it you will get the mark you deserve. Make sure to go through problem sets and past year exams/quizzes. He is a creature of habit and very predictable. Well oiled machine. Be very aware of how much quizzes are worth, cause it can make or break you.

George operates his courses like a well oiled machine. Provides plenty of practice material and is an incredibly fair grader. I do recommend looking through old material, as he is a creature of habit and tends to use similar questions on evaluations. You have to earn your mark in this course, but it's no problem to do well if you put the work in.

Holds exceptional lectures, he remains delightful throughout the term so you can tell that he really enjoys his job. His exams will hold no surprises as long as you practice his weekly homework. He will give 5 quizzes throughout the semester to keep you on top of material, he will keep best 4 out of 5. Overall, best math experience to date.

One of the better profs in the engineering department. He wants to see his students succeed. Has printed out gapped notes that you can purchase which makes note taking much easier and more comprehensive. Covers a lot in his lectures with just enough humor to make them interesting. Quizzes and tests can be hard but fair.

One of the better math profs I've seen! He does anything to help you and his bi-weekly quizzes force you to stay on top of the material throughout the term. Difficult to follow along with in class but if you put the work into the course and do the problem sets the course is a breeze.

Glyn George is a very good professor. He won't give you marks if you didn't earn them but it is clear that he is willing to help you, if you're willing to put the effort in during his class. He's very respectful towards students and is very good when it comes to answering emails. Would recommend.

Dr George is great at explaining notes and good at answering questions. You will either get a fair term of assessments and an impossible final, or a brutal term and easy final. Anyone who took this course in Summer 2016 can attest to the fact that our midterm was impossible but our final was great. NOTHING is out of the question for assessments

Overall, Glyn is a great professor. However, I did find at times that his methods or explanations were slightly over my head. There are no surprises with him. He told us exactly what to expect on all the quizzes, midterm and final. Do the practice sets, and study old exams. My average went up 11% after the final, so practice ALL the old exams!!

He is a very knowledgeable professor. If you are passionate and want to learn a tad little bit more then he is your guy. Midterm and quizzes were fair. The final really is a test and you really need to work to get an A. He gives you that warning beforehand. I will always remember this guy!

Classes are mostly useless, talks over everyones head, that being said the material isn't that hard and there are some great online resources. Tests are easy (and very similar to tests used in previous years) and he's very willing to help if you talk to him in person.

Generally a good prof, but he is not afraid to screw you over. For us, it was all good to the final - then it hit the fan. You don't have another option for ENGI 3424 right now though, so sit tight and study like you never have before.

One of the best professors I've ever had. His "textbook" is a set of course notes he created himself. He strictly sticks to its content. All of his completed notes are posted online, along with a wide variety of practice problems with his clear, step-by-step solutions. Very fair marker, and creates tests which are easy to understand.
