Comment:
A good explanation should be as simple as possible but no simpler. I think she think tries at this, but more often than not her explanations sound are word soup. Go to class only to get a pulse on the course, get all your formal definitions and notes from the textbook, you'll be fine. Organized but some were overwhelmed by the amount of D2L posts

Possible the worst professor I have ever had, and that's saying something. Refused to record online lectures during Covid, despite having students around the world, in different time zones. Explained everything in the most complicated way possible, even for simple topics. Does not understand technology. If you have another option, take it.

If you see her name in the course registration consider taking a year off... horrible explanations, dodges questions, refuses to record, and grades unfairly. Class average on quiz 1 was 55% and she blamed it on us instead of her marking scheme or her teaching ability.

Comment:
I had some solid understanding of probability, but after taking this course, I am so confused. Her explanations are one of the worst in the engineering department and fills up entire slides with jargon with no regard to making an effort to make the content understandable. It's unfortunate that she teaches this mandatory course.

Lectures and notes are not very helpful to learn the material and the assignments can be unclear. However the problem sets are good and the exams are fair.

Worst experience with a prof I've had in my degree, vast majority of the class went into the final failing but she had to have curved the final because we all miraculously passed

Horrible. Unclear about material for tests, useless assignments that are 10 pages long, and extremely hard to understand. Both written and verbally. If you ask a question, youll end up even more confused.

She makes very difficult tests, will not give you a clear answer to any of your questions about the course and doesn't interact well with the class or individuals. Poor explainations and high expectations.

She had a question on the final exam that was never covered in class or even in the textbook. Don't expect help if you're having trouble. If you are having trouble I advise you to find someone who actually passed this course and can explain the material

A pretty good prof overall if you put the work in. Expect a lot of work - 7 assignments with two quizzes, a midterm, and a final is nothing to turn your nose up yet. Biggest problem: Her writing is next to impossible to decipher.

She speaks clearly, concisely, and effectively. However, she does not allow enough time for in-class student feedback on topics before moving on. This leaves the class confused, frustrated and uninterested.

Not very open to beginner's questions, and takes the level of the material for granted. Sometimes quite helpful in the office though, if she's there. Possibly the devil in robot form.
