Incredible lectures. He put cat poo in his TA's hands once. Very thick French accent, easy to understand, however. He really cares about the subject material and frequently tries to make lectures interesting. You need to show up to class. I missed a quiz and material on other quizzes by skipping Friday classes. Grading scale is strange.

Dr. C has super engaging and interesting lectures!! He strays from just lecturing often and it is sooo helpful in learning the material. He has a thick French accent, but it's very easy to get used to and his teaching capabilities are not hurt by it. 10 out of 10 wish I could take abnormal psych again!

Dr. Castonguay is the best teacher I've ever had at Penn State. His lectures are very engaging and get you very excited about the material. I got a C+, but had to bust my ass to get it. Great class that forces you to read and actually study, so don't try cutting corners. Hard class, but so fun and so rewarding. This class will change your life.

Extremely interesting class because of the material and his teaching style.. You will work hard for an A though. You need to be in class everyday to take notes because he doesn't post full notes and have to read the textbook but he gives out a reading guide to let you know what to read and what to skip. Be there for pop quizzes.

Honestly, best professor I've ever had. Very passionate about the material, but still manages to be funny. Uses a lot of material, movies, presentations, textbook on top of lecture.

Great professor, had been waiting for a lecture like this where the professor really cared about what he was talking about and could answer any question comes his way. he is very interesting. make sure you get the textbook or you wont pass, as well as go to class because he gives more details than his powerpoints hold.

Dr. C was one of the best professors I've ever had. He's hilarious and lecture was always interesting, not to mention the fact that he's really good at teaching and you learn a lot. Tests were difficult though, and some of the material wasn't covered in class so reading the text book is a must. Great class though and great professor!

Not the worst class I've ever taken, but it's tough. I wouldn't take it for an elective. His French accent is tough to understand, and the exams are tough- especially the essay questions. I would use Nittany Notes to study and DEFINITELY read the book. Don't skip Friday classes because you might miss a pop quiz.

Dr. C is hands down the best professor that I have ever had. He is brilliant and never lost my attention for a moment during class. This class is hard, the material is easy but there is a LOT OF IT. The questions on exams are details from the lecture and textbook. This class is truly what college is supposed to be all about: Enjoying the hard work.

Dr. Castonguay (Dr.C) is one of the best professors I've ever had. His material is tough, and he is tough, but it is a weed-out course for people. If you're willing to put in the work you'll get a good grade. He is available for help most times, but he's not the warmest person one-on-one. Still, he inspired me to realize how much i loved psychology

Dr. C tells you from the start that this is a hard class. There are 3 quizzes and 4 exams total, and you have to put the effort in. His exams are based off the lecture notes as well as a LOT of the book. The quizzes are on Friday lectures. Overall, he is an amazing professor and his lectures are REALLY interesting.

Dr. C has a great personality and makes lectures interesting. He reserves Friday lectures to provide real world examples of the content from Monday & Wednesdays. There are pop-quizzes on Fridays on these examples. The textbook is essential, so buy it. His exams are tough, but not if you put the work into it. Definitely take this class with Dr. C!

Dr. Castonguay destroys the unfair stereotype that liberal arts majors have it easy. This was the first psych class where I really had to work for a good grade! His lectures are engaging, funny, and extremely informative. Read the book for sure! Definitely one of the best professors I've ever had!!! I miss this class!

His exams are really hard, you MUST read the book and understand it. Go to class pay attention and take notes. But in the end I've learned more in this class then many other classes since I had to work so hard, now my Psych 470 class is almost easy since I know so much already
