Dr. Martin is AMAZING! You learn so much in her class that you will need for the rest of college and in your career. She is also super fun and designs the class to be both challenging and upbeat. Don't worry too much about the lower grades in the beginning because you'll get better (it's kind of a guarantee with her) and your hard work will pay off

Dr Martin is an amazing professor! You may be scared in the beginning of the semester by some lower grades but they improve as you learn the writing style. Just stick with the class and you will be a much better writer. Tip: Never *Ever* use the word "of" in papers. Do not do it.

Prof. Martin is the best! I love her. She cares about students doing well and really teaches you how you are supposed to write in the communication industry. Brilliant and funny too. She is very likable and she will talk to you about anything (we frequently shared juicing recipes). Such an awesome lady, take her.

Take the freshman seminar class. She grades hard but if you work hard and speak in class, you will receive an A in class. I wouldn't mind taking another class from her. No final, just reading, class participation and end of class essay, 1-2 pages.

She is an excellent teacher. She is hard but after the 1st month, your writing will improve. Why pay $20,000 a year and take the easy way out?

You have to work for your A. She's very clear about what she wants. It won't be you typical English writing class and you'll have to get used to it. She calls people out positively and negatively in class. Try not to take everything too personally even though it may be hard to so sometimes.

Comm Writing was a fun class. it's super early though. the class really bonded. she's a tough grader, so you will definitely need to work for a higher score. if you have a few bad grades at the beginning, don't worry! there are lots of assignments. DO NOT BE LATE TO CLASS. she locks the door at 8 am on the dot. a very good class, on the whole.

She is a charming woman and will keep you laughing. However, she grades very hard, as in one letter grade per mistake on assignments. Please do not care about the grade, you will really mess yourself up if you care about the grade. Just worry about your improvement and you will do fine. Its worth it.

1. The class gets easy in the end. 2. She's not joking when she says that all assignments must fit on one page. She will totally give you an F they don't. 3. How to get an A on a paper: avoid clauses, the word "of", passive voice; be brief, and be FUNNY. Listen to everything she says! Hard class, but you'll learn a lot.
