terrible professor. he doesn't care about his students at all. he doesn't want to help and is not concerned with his students' progress at all. Rude, condescending, and arrogant. absolutely awful; be prepared for a major attitude whenever you ask him questions

Do not take this class unless you have to! Totally blocks notes with his body. Can't teach to save his life. Is fair, but doesn't teach you anything so you have to teach yourself from the book that he wrote. All the tests are comprehensive, which is good and bad.

He forgets what he's saying part way through his speech sometimes. he's very unorganized.he handwrites his notes on the board and then blocks them with his body.the tests aren't that difficult and he does let you make corrections in class with ur book, but sometimes he jumps around with topics and makes it hard 2 take notes he didnt write on board

He definitely knows what he is teaching, but for a 101 course he goes WAY too far into depth and we never really get to fully understand any topic...

Dr Misanin is the most amazing teacher ever. He makes you work for your grades, but is very approachable. He is willing to help any student, and is really interesting to talk to. He doesnt always explain things well, but if you take his classes you wont regret it!

He completely lacks all people skills. He may be smart but is a terrible teacher, and there are much better professors that teach this course in a more interesting and accessible way. Avoid him if you can.

I'm sure Dr Misanin knows his subject very well - unfortunately, nobody can hear it. If you can get over the mumbling and talking to himself into his hands, I'm sure you can manage a relatively good grade.

Professor Misanin is definitely not an easy grader. He is truly a BRILLIANT man. He expects you to put effort into your work and encourages you to think outside the box. If you need help, go see him outside of class. Helpful & taught me so much! Great sense of humor!

Best teacher I've ever had. I agree with the other comments, that you have to get to know him... you'll be glad you did. He made me a better student. He doesn't give you the answers, he helps you help yourself.

Dr Misanin is a genius. I was so scared of him until senior year when i realized that he is just a hard shell on the outside but a softie on the inside. you REALLY have to study. He confuses you in class, but you are ok if you study. He would be a better grad school teacher, but if you are serious about class, you'll do ok.

He was always thinking, teaching and expecting above the level he should have been at. He should have been teaching grad school. Very funny to hear the undergrads complain. If you didn't think as fast as he did you probably were or are lost :)... Is he still teaching? Probably is.

I wish I had the insight and maturity to get to know this man and learn more from him. I still remember 20 years later, many lessons from Learning and Motivation. He lost me in stats. He is brilliant and after graduation I realized he was sweet. ASK him for help and he will.

Very out-of-touch. Seems nervous and withdrawn. No people skills. Tests are difficult. He is the worst teacher I have ever had @ SU. Hate his continuous coughing and hacking and his dark glasses. Very Creepy!
