Took it SP14 online...He wasn't even the instructor. He had his teaching assistant "teach" the class. It was an interesting class alright, but I think they should have had the discussions just due on Sunday instead of your post on Wednesday and a reply due Sunday. AND the teacher assistant I had was not all that nice, stickler.

Had numerous classes with Dr. Wright years ago. Clear, articulate, more than helpful, humorous, and a true mentor. He is a stickler for grading, and yes, he reads your assignments.

This was a great class on the history of Mexico. If you want to learn more about Mexico?s interesting and complex history from a true Latin American intellectual, Dr. Wight knows how to make the topic interesting. He offers extra credit assignments and remains flexible with students.

I enjoyed Mr. Wright a lot. He was very clear about what was on the tests and put the modules on webcampus. His lectures were engaging and crystal clear. I absolutely loved House of the Spirits and gave me a much better understanding of Chile. Never read the textbook just went to class and participated..received an A. I would recommend Prof. Wright

I highly recommend taking this class. It inspired me to minor in LAS. Dr. Wright assigns readings that help you really put the Cuban Revolution/reaction into context. It's hard for me to say anything negative about him. The only advice: on the tests give him EVERY DETAIL YOU KNOW even if you think it is a little unrelated.

Dr. Wright is very interesting and knowledge in his field. I took his class as an elective to get an easy A. I was wrong to assume that. He is very determined to make sure that his students take with them the knowledge that he teaches. Further, he is very clear on how he wants his tests answered.
