Prof Fish didn't know how to use zoom at all. I get tech could be difficult for elderly people, but we have been online for over a year. The homework was easy but if you don't show up to class, you get 1/2 credit. She was a super tough grader on essays. Our TA did literally everything so shoutout to her.

You wont learn anything in this class. Attendance is mandatory but all you do is tell the class what you wrote in your last hw assignment (no feedback either, literally pointless). Essay prompts are extremely confusing and she does not explain what she is looking for. Also, toughest grader ever and gives like two sentences of feedback on essays

Prof Fish is super nice and caring, but I hated this class. She cannot use zoom to save her life. Class is pointless bc we just read aloud our hw responses, but you still have to go. The prompts are absurd and she's a very tough grader on the essays, but gives NO FEEDBACK. I did not learn anything in this class, except READ THE PROMPTS CAREFULLY

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO!!! First off she's not a mean professor by any means but having her online was horrible. She explicitly said that she hates giving As out and said she rarely gives Bs out as she complained about how high the class average was! Like what professor wants to see their students fail?? Fish does...

Hedda Fish is by far my worst professor (out of my 6 current professors). She has little to no knowledge of technology, but you can't blame it all on her due to her prehistoric age. After making obvious errors that the entire class notices, she attempts to blame it on the students by coming up with whimsical excuses, never accepting any blame.

Taking her class during covid- she's ok. She doesn't give any feedback on papers. If you want help, I would reach out to the fellow. Follow her syllabus religiously as it has the essay requirements. The writing exercises and reading responses are easy but stay on top of those as they really add up.

I had to deal with having to guess what the requirements were for our essays. I barely passed the first one and failed my second one. There wasn't feedback to what could have improved. Her other assignments are simple, and she's nice, but her ways of teaching could REALLY be improved. My main problem was that she didn't properly give instructions.

Her class is easy, with 3 major essays and some small assignments. Very tough grader, the main focus on punctuation. She does not explain why she took points from the essays. Very boring class, she does not explain properly and is very confusing.

One of the worst teachers that I've ever had. Extremely difficult, tough grader, doesn't explain herself clearly... more than half of my class either dropped out or got an F because of her teaching methods. Do not take this teacher!

Professor Fish is the harshest grader I have ever experienced. I went in for help on an essay and corrected my mistakes... still got a C on it, her feedback was not helpful. She will mark anyone down for being even a couple minutes late. Extremely hard to keep an A. I strongly recommend taking ANY other prof for RWS 200.

This is the only class I have ever failed in my entire life. I had the flu and was hospitalized, and she never let me turn in papers late. She doesn't work with her students, and her essay prompts are vague and unhelpful. When I took RWS 200 with another professor I got an A, so I would highly recommend avoiding this class. She's terrible.

Shes sweet, her assignments are fine, go to class, sometimes on fridays she does give it optional to come. She is a hard grader, mostly looks at grammar mistakes. 8am with her is a little boring especially if you commute. JUST GO TO CLASS AND DO WORK AND YOULL BE FINE. For essays make sure to ask others for help besides her.

Professor Fish is not the worst but not the best professor. Directions were always unclear on essays/work in general. Fish graded mainly on grammar and not on what you actually write. Attendance not really mandatory as she tells you when everything is due, except some days she gives random points for "in class assignments".

She is an absolutely awful teacher who doesn't care about teaching or her students. She grades extremely unfairly and will fail you even if you do all of the assignments and ask for extra help. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. Trust me... I would have rather taken a class at 7-8 o'clock rather than take this again.

Fish is a sweet lady but the class itself is hard. The highest graded paper in my class was around 85% but it is extremely difficult to maintain an A in that class. The papers are not only unclear but she is a hard grader, if you come to class late she will deduct points. If you leave class early she will mark you absent. This class is a joy...

She is the worse teacher i have ever had. DO NOT take. She is the toughest most inconsistent grader. I had a high A in RWS 100 with a seperate professor but a B+ with her. Do not expect her to go over her vague prompt, everything is basically a guessing game for her and her grading is so confusing because she takes off points for random things.

Essay prompts are confusing and never thoroughly gone over, other than acknowledging them. The reading responses are really easy though. But her grading is very inconsistent and you don't get good feedback either. She's a sweet lady but class lectures usually have nothing to do with the class. I wouldn't recommend if you struggle with writing.
