I took this class online and it was awful. The tests were difficult and there was so much material it was hard to know what would be on the tests. She never gave guidance, and the few times I emailed with questions she told me to look elsewhere and was very rude. I would avoid this prof at all costs, she doesnt care if you pass.

I have had many teachers and professors in the last few years but none of them were as bad as Nargess Kayhani. She makes students listen to 4 hour long videos . She doesnt give enough time for quizzes/tests. People say shes supportive and engaging but she obviously isnt meant to be an online teacher. I feel bad for her future online students.

Course is set up for students to do bad with very minimal time on tests/quizzes. Assignments aren't correlated to exam questions. Prepare yourself to become an Economist in a first year Micro course. Prof provides minimal help with feedback. Self-learning course. Prof is rude. DO NOT recommend. Take course with prof who wants best for students

seems as though the quizzes/tests are pulled from info that we haven't been taught. the quizzes/tests DO NOT reflect info from the assignments. every week theres between 4-6 one hour lectures (asynchronous class) and thats a heavy work load for an INTRO course. prof. is snarky with students who have made a mistake. not enough time for quizzes/tests

I've seen a lot of hate for Nargess, but I found her to be very kind and you could tell she wanted the best for her students. ECON is a tough class but she is great at going over material. She will not allow electronics of any kind and will call you out, but understand that its to ensure you're not distracted and will help you better understand.

doesn't really like to help her student and she will get mad if you don't understand. attendance is a must if you miss more than 2 classes you lose 5% of your grade. she goes very fast can cover 2 chapters in one class. she is also very hard to understand with her voice and her writing is very messy. would not recommend her, find another prof.

Definitely a class where the course material will get covered in class. Her accent is quite strong and hard to understand at times but don't hesitate to ask her to repeat. She's very lecture heavy, and if you miss one class you have to be caught up by the next class to ensure you're not lost. But overall a great teacher for such a hard course

Very lecture-heavy. Most classes are pretty boring, and she isn't really the best at answering questions.

She does not prepare you for anything. Not for your Midterm and not for the exam. She didn't even have a help session for her students they were forced to go to the other teachers class. She gets angry at people for taking notes and doesn't involve the class in her discussions. She is unbearably boring and repeats the same phrases every class. Bad.

She's a hard marker but she really knows her stuff. Her accent makes her hard to understand at times but she's winning to explain what she's teaching when her students don't understand the material. Theres a lot to learn so she does everything she can to help her students

She is a very nice and approachable prof. I really enjoy her lectures though they are not easy to understand and kinda boring esp. when I was sleepy. But Nargess makes the materials easier to understand by giving different examples. Go to her classes and do all the assignments, they are really helpful. Any questions, talk to Nargess. She will help.

She is a brilliant woman and really knows what she's talking about. The class is extremely difficult and you can't miss a class if you want a good grade. If you need help, she is extremely willing. However, she doesn't always udnerstand the questions being asked.

A very quiet talker, but I understood her. Its an incredibly boring and hard subject to teach, so I think she does a pretty good job of it. Never went to SI (time conflicts), understood it fairly well. She's a tough marker, but very helpful. She misunderstand often, though. I'd suggest taking a class with someone else, before one with her.

I did not like her first year Macro-economics class, but I found her much better in this more intermediate class. The class was smaller, making it easier to hear her, she is very approachable; And very nice as well!

Good teacher and knows what she is talking about but the class couldn't get any boring if it tried. Half the time she doesn't understand the questions that are being asked, and if you miss even two classes you can lose 5%, and sometimes she is hard to understand. If possible I would avoid this teacher! its the longest 75 mins of your life.
