While the content of this class was not easy, dw makes up for it. He truly cares for his students and is very respected within the department and school. His course is lecture heavy, but he can make a physics lecture enjoyable and even memorable.

Absolutely the best teacher in the physics department, if not the entire school. DW makes students want to learn in his class by providing demonstrations and being a hilarious individual. No matter what class he is teaching, everybody should take him at least once.

Honestly I loved dw and thought he was a great professor. Grading criteria is clear and fair. Do the homework he assigns and the quizzes and tests will be easy. He has a sarcastic sense of humor but I think he's great. Sad he wont be teaching 102.

Wragg is an amazing professor! The material is definitely difficult, but he is more than willing and available to help during office hours. Physics is hard for me but after going to office hours, he helped me a ton and my test grades changed from c's to b's. Keep up with hw bc he gives random quizzes

He was a rather energetic and helpful teacher. However, the problem is a lot of his explanations differ a lot from what you learn in the book. The exams were simply just too hard. He grades on a curve and gives partial credit for wrong answers, but all the problems are very difficult and comprehensive.

Dr. Wragg is a character. He's a great teacher who wants students to do well, and he seems to enjoy himself while doing it. He even takes 101&102 students seriously and wants them to excel. Offered to have students stay with him over Thanksgiving if they had no place to go (and does it every year!). He'll make fun of students, but it's all fun.

He prefaced the class with sending out an email stating that he wasn't responsible for teaching the class, which is exactly what he delivered. Just learn from the book if you take the class with him. He's also a complete ****, so I wouldn't take the class with him if that'll bother you.

I've spent a few years taking classes and learning to be a good scientist from DW. It has been one of the great joys of my life to get to know him. He loves helping students and constantly strives to be a better teacher. He goes above and beyond the call of duty and truly believes in his students. However, make no mistake: he expects hard work.

The material is obviously hard, but if you go to class and lab (try and get both with dr. w) you will pass. HW is not mandatory but if you want a c- or better, its recommended. Very easy going, brought food once a week at least.

He's awesome! Jokes around a lot. He gives formula sheets on his test, which are pretty useful. Learn to use Mathematica if you have him for Modern, you'll use it!

Jokes around a lot, if he makes fun of you, it means he likes you. He brings food occasionally. Attendance is not mandatory, but you should go to class, or you'll be lost. Do the homework too, and buy the student version of Mathematica -- you'll need it. Tests are pretty easy, he gives you formulas.

Had him for physics lab, he wasn't my lecture teacher. He made lab fun and interesting, still earned alot though. I couldn't understand my russian lecture teacher at all, so i relied on Dr. Wragg to explain things i had trouble getting. His grading is really tough, he's hypercritical, but hey... its physics. Good guy, good teacher.

Wragg's the finest example I know of how NOT to teach a college class: concentrate on being everyone's buddy instead of actually doing your job and TEACHING the FRACKIN' material.

I agree, he is one of the best teachers at the college. He's hilarious and his way of explaining the material is so easy to understand. He brings food occasionally (cookies!) and starts new sections with visual demonstrations. Tests are straightforward & he has pop quizzes but if you do the HW problems, they're a breeze! TAKE HIM!

Not that you have a choice with this course, but Dr. Wragg is really a great guy. This course is tough - plan to work hard and spend lots of time outside of class working. Start your projects early, and ask DW lots of questions along the way. If you feel remotely confused or like your making a mistake, just ask about it. You CAN make an A.

One of the best professors at the college, period. Explains material in a clear, entertaining way. Homework is optional, but good preparation for the quizzes/tests. Quizzes every friday. If you're smart, it's easy and you get a lot out of the class. He is very reasonable as far as grading goes and he is very helpful outside of class.

Okay, so this guy has really grown on me. He just has a great sense of humor. For lab though, he's really tough. On reports he says that if we do everything right we get an 8 out of 10. The only way to get a 10 is to do something "exceptional." I never got a 10. There are always lab quizzes but no exam. He does bring cookies...

This guy is your worst nightmare. He actually makes you use your own brain. Its maddening to think that when you take his class, he expects you to do the work and (gasp!) study. And to think I thought that when I got to college, my teachers would still hold my hand and spoon feed me everything I needed to know.
