dont bother going to lectures, i learned more about taking dirt samples & how he invented the nano program than how to do any chemistry. He makes it very easy to do well & drops lots of hints if you do chose to go to lecures. if not just do the questions he posts on learn and you'll be fine . also a 30% peer graded presentation.

After two of his classes, I have come to appreciate this professor. I feel like he is overlooked because his classes are easy and he tends to ramble. His teaching methods are by no means standard but he teaches the most basic things that are usually overlooked. You will come to appreciate the level of detail of his teaching when you do research.

This class was insanely easy he drops STRONG hints in his lectures as to what will be on the midterms and final. He has pop quizzes but again he drops hints as to when they'll be. Great guy

hes the worst prof ive ever had. Super boring classes its a waste of your time but he makes you to come to classes by giving 2 pop quizzes thats worth 20% each of your final grade. Midterms are fairly easy though.

Brutal Prof. Lectures are a waste of your day, covers nothing relevant in class, makes stupid jokes and goes on 15 minute tangents about nothing ever other sentence. Very unpleasant during office hours. Unwilling to help and extremely condescending. If you bother going to class, try sit at the front and participate as much as you can for bonus 5%.

Very informal class. No real structure of course. He applies the material to real life and work situations but no real teaching. Seems like a nice guy though, but you have no idea what to expect on evaluations. Lectures are boring but he occasionally gives hints for exams. Course is pretty much CHEM 123 again.

The material is very easy. He will give you the practice questions in the course outline. Most of the questions on the midterm are taken from the question he listed. Go to his tutorial, easy marks to get from quizzes about 21%. Here is the deal, his tutors and he himself are not so helpful. They are nice, but they are not good at explaining.

The class was ridiculously easy, becauseit kind of felt like he copped out on the class due to it being combined with a grad class, but most of the meetings he would ramble on about things that had no relevance to the topics.. I think he loved to hear himself speak.

Amazing guy. Keeps his classes interesting by talking about everything that is practical. Allows us to see the application of things we are learning in the real world. Keeps things short and simple most of the time

He's a piece of work. Class isn't so bad, but I probably learned more about the origins of Apple Computers and what to look for in buying a digital camera than Anayltical Chemistry. Notes/overheads were horrid, but if you understood CHEM 120/123, you're fine for this course.

Lots of hand waving. He doesn't stick to the subject matter. You'll have no clue what the exam is going to be from. He seeems nice at first, but is a horrible human being.

He can't teach. He's too lazy and unreliable. You can skip his classes and do well. He tends to focus on the course data that is related to his research. A recruiting attempt?

While his off-topic ramblings can be very interesting, he doesn't spend enough time on the course material. You need to learn most of the material on your own by reading the text.

A lot of hand waving and mumbo jumbo that only puts the student off. He brags about his stuff way too much. He also has a very limited vocabulary. I really dragged myself at 8:30 in the morning for his class.

What a waste of time in the morning. He talks about nothing but mercury amalgum!!! Also his course notes suck, a new born baby could put together his course notes. AHAHAHAH such a waste of $14.00. One last thing don't expect to get good marks on his midterms because he expects you to know uncertainties of all your equipment in your lab!!
