DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. Worst professor ever. Don't try to ask him any questions because he will assume he knows what you're asking before you can even ask it and in the end, never answers it. He gets so off-topic and overall, I learned nothing taking his class. His grading system is terrible and he's full of ambiguities. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.

Awesome course! You have to read the articles and be prepared for class and write concisely and intelligently. If you do that you'll have no trouble doing well

He's def. an odd one. But class was usually okay. Best word of advice....Take your laptop to class and write your journals as you go. It is sooooo much easier and it gives you something to do. Put a lot of personal feeling into them and you will do fine.

There was a lot of work involved in this class - mainly just reading and writing (a journal and written assignment ever class period) but it was fairly easy and as long as you kept up with it you didn't get overwhelmed. Bernstein doesn't give tests which is a definate bonus! I would highly recommend this class!

Bernstein is an awesome prof. There is a lot of reading and work for his class, but it's worth it. It's not meant to be an easy class, but you learn a lot and you exercise your brain, which is a nice change of pace from some other PSY classes. If you do all of your assignments and he can tell you're thinking hard, you'll get an A. Nice guy!

Helps even out the class with Joanisse(Joanisse is very stressful). He is understanding and knows if you're trying or not. He often offers to help and works with you, but he grades pretty hard. Don't expect an A, but maybe a B. I was strait A's in high school and I got a B- even though he worked with me on a lot of assignments. TONS of reading!

I like Bernstein. He did give a lot of assignments (about a page and a half every class period) but he was fairly low stress despite that. Just keep up with journals and assignments and he's very easy. Also, contribute to discussions.

Great guy, brilliant, you'll love him. There is a TON of reading but its not hard work at all, just time consuming between daily journals and readings. Also, no exams, highly recommended.

He is a really understanding teacher. He cares more about the students than the class. He will really open you up to a whole new way of thinking. Just a fare warning though - his honors class is a TON of homework. The reading is really difficult to grasp and there's hours and hours of it. It's worth it though.

Awesome, awesome prof! So nice, understanding, and helpful. Easy class, just keep up on the reading, homework, and the journal. He loves to hear and read what you have to say - there is no wrong answer so just do the assignments and you will be golden!

A good prof, but tends to be pretty quite and unclear with his ideas at times. If you don't understand the readings, make sure you ask A LOT of questions or you'll never know.

NO TESTs,just journal entries on both the lectures and the book chapters. Easy to get an A if you do the reading and show up for class. I enjoyed the class, lectures were not boring so it was alright to always go. He is a nice guy too.

I loved the class, but it's one of those "love it or hate it" type things. Do you like class discussion and a lot of "what do I think?" writing assignments? Then you'll adore this. Do you prefer more straightforward lecture-and

If you go to class and pay attention, you'll be straight. A lot of writing though on your own time, so be prepared. Usually doesn't respond to you e-mails, so if you have a question catch him after class and he is real helpful.
