Comment:
Dr. Rodgers is great and his class is extremely straight forward. He wrote the textbook he uses for the class and absolutely depends on it for exams. His class lectures are reviews on the material in the chapters. for exams, I just studied everything in the chapters and I got an A. Final exam is toughest because it has the most information.

He is a very good professor, has a lot of knowledge about drugs and their mechanisms in the body. Overall the class is VERY EASY, there's an 8 page research paper on a drug of your choice and a powerpoint presentation. He also gives you the final exam in advance so you know what to expect.

Comment:
Extremely easy course. You pretty much just have to show up and you'll get an A, since he's gotten really strict with his attendance policies since everyone used to cut. Only 2 projects which are extremely easy, and the final, which about 90% of the class cheats on. If you don't know what to take for one of your science gen ed's, take this class.

Dr. Rodgers' teaching style is hard to get used to but if you keep an open mind and actually pay attention to him in class, you will learn a lot. If you are confused by any of his slides/weird pictures, meet up with him before the exam for clarifications and he is extremely helpful. He will also appreciate that you made the effort to come see him.

i was surprised to see such good ratings. i have had him for several classes. everyone i have talked to can't stand him. his style of teaching is horrible. he just scribbles on an overhead and tries to be funny, but is just annoying and wastes time. everything i learned, i taught myself. he may be a "love him or hate him" type i guess.

I was surprised to see such high comments from others. Everyone I know can't stand him. He is without a doubt my least favorite teacher. His style of teaching is horrible. He scribbles on an overhead and tries to be funny but is just annoying. He has no respect for students. Everything I know I taught myself.

Best class, best professor. If you have any interest in drugs at all, TAKE THIS CLASS! Hes a really nice man, and is very passionate in his teaching. One project (paper &presentation) which was really managable & fair. One exam (the final) was easy if you studied, and there really is not excuse not to. Memorize 10 drugs, done. Definitly take this!

Rodgers is the coolest. Class is wicked fun, it covers medicinal and recreational drugs. Attendance is "mandatory", but not worth much gradewise- especially towards end. He passes out an attendance sheet. Barely any grades. You & a partner write a report, and make a presentation on the drug of your choice, then an easy final exam. Very easy class.

Awesome professor...draws lots of pictures to explain concepts, so you're NOT constantly reading a barrage of boring powerpoint slides. Very personable and always willing to clarify concepts after class. One of my best professors at URI!
