Comment:
Dr. Wilson is a very knowledgable psychology professor, although he probably isn't the best professor to take for a psych 101 class. It was important to come to class because the textbook wasn't used very much, and many of the test questions were discussed in class. In order to be successful in his class, be prepared to study for days before exams.

Jeff literally reads off a PowerPoint everyday and talks way to fast for anyone to fully grasp what he is trying to say. All his exams are short answer, with no review, so you must know everything and all the proper terminology that goes with it.

Comment:
Dr. Wilson is surely a super knowledgeable professor and his way of teaching is interesting and impressive. I used to hate neuroscience in psy101, but I did okay in this class. He is good at showing you great experiment cases and he pushes you to write a nice paper for this class. He is strict, but we don't have much homework to do for the class.

In Psych of Learning Wilson only lectures so you better be there to listen. You need the book because it is helpful since his lectures can be hard to follow. His tests are easy, after you take the first one.

Jeff Wilson. Probably the worst professor at Albion College. He does not know how to teach a class, contradicted the book constantly, would grade based on how he likes you, spent multiple class times showing us his Facebook pictures, had to use Youtube on multiple occasions to explain things he could not. Overall a cocky prof that cannot teach.

Dr. Wilson conducted the most straight up class I've ever taken. You take 4 or 5 exams in the semester and that's your grade. His lectures are helpful but pretty damn boring, and Wilson's a pretty cheesy dude. I just like how he gives out study guides before each exam and if you can master those, you're all set. I liked his class.

Comment:
Wilson is probably extremely knowledgeable about the subject, but he provides many examples for the same concept. In an hour long class you will only get through two or three concepts because he keeps bringing up examples. this not only makes it more difficult to understand material, it makes the class very dull.

A wonderful man and generally quite caring. Not be best of teachers. He tends to fumble over somethings (probably because he has so much that he wants to get out.) He knows his stuff and wants you to too, but can't always quite get it out. I would also love to see him improve the clarity of test questions.

Always talks about himself. Comes to class late in his dirty lab coat, possible some kind of ego boost. He explains things by making the same explanation wordier. Lastly, he is always "busy" when you need help but can always seem to dig up a few minutes if he has to. Completely worthless! Claims saccharin is not a sugar its aritfical sweetener.

By far the most interesting and useful class I have taken at Albion. The things I learned in neuropsychopharmacology. It is one of the few classes I can honestly say I truely got something out of. This is the second class I have had with Dr. Wilson, who is very knowledgeable in his field, and is always willing to help. I would highly recommend him.

Awesome teacher; funny, engaging. Lecture style class. Tests are hard, lots of obscure textbook material not covered in class.

He loves what he does, but he can be a little uptight about it sometimes. Good enthusiastic teacher. Grades a little stiff, but he has one of the best exam formats I've ever seen.

Class was not what I had hoped it to be. I learned to spit basic info back on exams (and it seemed to have to be in profs words).

Much information is covered, mainly from a perspective of the outcome of neurological events, and less the biology behind them (although some is presented). Psychology is stressed. Biological mechanisms seem to be presented further in Neuro II, and philosophy in later classes. Overall, excellent!

I thought he was a good professor and was well organized and he knew what he was talking about. The class wasn't all that difficult you just had to study a lot, but it was fair.

I loved this class! Dr. Wilson is a very good professor and makes the material understandable an interesting. He's also quite funny and random at times..."After you have squozed...""Squozed, what's that Dr. Wilson?""The past tense of squeeze?" :)
