This dude might b the hardest class Ive ever took for writing. He grades tough and hard but gives super good feedback. Listen and youll success. His readings are a bit hard to understand and are long, but his lecture videos and online discussions pretty much cleared up everything. His tests are pretty hard, but he hints at what'll be on the tests in his lecture videos. The papers can be long too, but overall his class was pretty good. Just focus on how everything ties together.

Hes a good professor. He is very strict with the writing so you will learn a lot from him. The transition online was very smooth with him since he would post videos of the lectures so it was accessible. There are 2 papers and he makes you do rough drafts. The exams were pretty easy just make sure you follow his guidelines.

I took Dr. Sharp for all my required LBS classes and don't regret it one bit. He's the toughest professor I've taken but that's what I loved about his class. He gives you honest and excellent feedback on all your work and in all honestly that made me a better writer and I forever be thankful of what I learned with him. If given the chance TAKE HIM!

I took Sharp my first quarter at CSULA and that was 3 years ago, he was an amazing teacher and the experience was still a positive and memorable one years later. He is definitely a tough teacher, but i felt like he definitely prepared me for upper division courses and what to expect while working on my degree. I highly recommend taking him as ASAP

He is a nice professor however he expects you to read alot. By the second week of the semester he expected us to read a full novel. He also expects you to by 4-5 books for his class and not all of them are cheap.

He is very confused on what he expect of students. His direction are not sufficient. I do not recommend this professor. His required essay format is different and difficult. He is not able to explain the format and he is very critical of it. Avoid this one

Dr. Sharp is by far the best LBS professor out there. He knows what he is teaching, and he makes it interesting. For those that believe he is dull and hard, stop being lazy! I think I' have already rated Dr. Sharp, and I have no problem doing it again because he is that awesome. I have taken 4 classes with him and her is seriously one of the most inspiring, nice professors I've ever come across. Always willing to help, repeat if you don't get it and even put time aside for you. Wish I could take more classes with him.

Been having a hard time with the Sci Fi angle but that's not Dr. Sharp's/program's fault--I just happen to not be a fan of the genre. Even so, he managed to engage me. A teacher that truly teaches; a rarity these days. Don't be tardy, attend every class. If you can't, don't be a dolt like me and drop the course until you can! HIGHLY recommended.

Professor Sharp is a remider of what a professor should be. He actually teaches you interesting things and ways of interpreting text. Its not an easy class but he is extremely detailed in what he is looking for. Its one paper divided into two parts, 2 quizes, midterm, and a final. Write everything he says and study all your notes.

Professor Sharp is by far my favorite professor ever. He is very consistent with his teaching which makes it easy to follow and find your groove. You will have to pay attention and do your work but it is worth it because you will walk away being one smart cookie. I highly recommend him and can only hope I get to take more classes of his.
