He's very sweet, but I learned absolutely nothing. He can't keep track of things enough to get through material because of his age. Random information is all you will get.

Comment:
Limited number of assignments, all highly difficult (and usually partially based on information he had not given us in lectures or readings). Frequent tangents would be interesting and fun if not for the fact that they make sorting relevant information from information irrelevant to the assignments maddeningly difficult.

Professor Anderson is engaging. He loves people and Anthropology. His grades reflect your grammar use, knowledge of class discussions and a requirement to use your own analytical thinking. It is not an easy class. You must read the materials to understand his take home exams which are not easy. He knows his subject.

Comment:
Class is decent. There are three essays for exams and they are graded unreasonably. Some of the lectures in his class are not on the exams and sometimes he gets off topic. He just stands and lectures and does not write on the board. Most students don't come to class and just turn in the exam. Overall, his class is mainly tiring lectures.

He's a great person, but probably shouldn't be teaching. He loses track of what he's talking about in class. If you come to class for the reviews and take notes then you will get good grades on the papers (all take home). If you do the outside readings you'll learn something, but they aren't necessary to get through the class with an A.

Dr. Bob's class held my attention and was clearly taught. His exams and grading are fair and if you take decent notes, you should have zero problem.

Dr. Bob is awesome. His class is always super long, but the subject matter is great. No textbooks, no tests. Just three "takehome exams" - essays. Dr. Bob is always happy and nice. A pleasure to take classes with. I have taken four classes with him.

for the sake of anthropology's reputation I hope he retires soon. don't get me wrong, he is a brilliant man and genuinely kind, but he's very over the hill and very out of touch.

Dr. Bob = GOD! I worship him and his catchy enthusiasm. He's been in college longer than my parents have been ALIVE, and he's healthier than me. And he's so cute! Talks about... things you wouldn't think an 85-year old man would talk to 20-year old girls about... He's my favorite person ever. I quite literally love this man! Take ALL his classes!

A VERY kind professor, great sense of humor and very flexible (he tries to be accomodating if you're in a pinch...but he's no sucka). He's encouraging, supportive, and genuinely wants us to succeed. Not the most challenging class (and 2 1/2 hours often seem like 10), but what I learn stays with me because of his joy with the subject.

Bob is a great professor interested in students individual interests. His classes are easy but you still learn. He will tell you exactly how to structure your papers and often the readings are woven into classes so you can get by without doing them.

Dr. Bob can go off on tangents, but he is a really nice man. His class can get boring, but he means well, and is truly enthusiastic. He tries to make things interesting. He often puts clips of films on for 2 or 3 minutes at a time, which can get irritating. But all in all he is a great guy, and I would definitely take another class with him if I were more interested in anthropology.

Dr. Bob is a great teacher even though sometimes he can be a bit confusing. But his assignments aren't difficult and he pretty much tells you what to do anyway.
