At first i would have agreed with most of these rates. he's a very hard teacher and grader but he really knows his stuff. In class it might seem fast paced and his grading might seem unfair but go to his office and talk to him in person. He is willing to help and wants you to do well. Went from a D to a B+ just by getting extra help from him

I would recommend Prof Sanzi for Life in the Construction Lane class bc he is much more lenient. Hopcroft is way too tedious when grading reports(35% of grade); for the same report my friend got an A- w/ Sanzi& i got a C w/ Hopcroft.. hes experienced but he is very tedious. 7 absences=withdrawl from roster,being 10 mins late counts as an absence.

Professor Hopcroft, in Intro to Civil, will give you a lot of group projects. GET THEM DONE EARLY. Make sure you follow the syllabus for writing reports to the T cause he will nail you for grammar. He's very particular when it comes to his reports. Quizzes are tough, if you don't study,,, so don't be stupid and study.

Pretty cool professor. He has quizzes that you don't have to know the exact answer as in the study guide. He does not correct the report papers hard, he just looks at them and write a check mark, Than at the end he just tells you that the paper was pretty cool.

It's very hard to figure out what he's looking for. There's a paper due every week so sometimes its very hard to keep up with the rigorous schedule. He's not a bad teacher but the class is just boring and a lot of work. He's available for help if you need it though. He's way too strict on how specific and detailed the problem's solutions are..

I think he is a very intelligent man that knows a lot. His papers can be tedious at times, but once you get the hang of what he expects out of you, it's really not that bad. He doesn't hold you there and drone on like many professors do. Once he says what he planned he's done and your free to go.

Tries to make jokes that no one understands, at all. Has a mumbly voice that you cant understand. He just babbles on and on and on. He is crazy about grading papers! You will have to write one over and over, probably 5 times to the root power!! Because he love numbers! He is insane, he'll help you out outside of class but wow! Cant figure him out
