He's a good professor and a nice guy. I took the class as a requirement that was outside of my major, and i barely paid attention and managed to get an A-. The class could be a bit boring but at other times, depending on the topic, it could be interesting. He gave study guides that work great for the exams and grades easy on the essay. Easy A class

Steve is amazing and an icon as a person, but honestly, the class is mostly lecture and lecture is super boring. The good news is that there's only two tests (and he tells you exactly what's on them), a 0% chance of pop quizzes, and the only homework is the one paper he assigns.

Fundies was a decent class. He always told you what you need to change on your project and gave helpful advice for improvement.

Dry professor, but class still doable. Come to every class because the material on the tests comes primarily from the class lectures. The tests are 30% each, plus the paper is another 30% so you want to do well on all of them.

Show up to class and listen to lectures. The research paper is long but if you turn it in early you can redo it to get a better grade. Good professor a bit boring but an easy Gen-ed class.

Took the class for fine arts gen ed and was not disappointed. Lectures were a little boring but as long as you showed up to class, read the books, and put time into your paper, there's no reason you shouldn't get higher than a B+. Gave extra credit for going to a play put on by the school.

Steve is great. He is so interesting in what he is teaching, and if you are interested in antiquity or any of the topics he discusses, you will be fascinated as well. The tests as well as the assignments are done easily. We did not have any grades until the midterm. I would recommend this class.

This class, though definitely an easy one to get an A on, was a complete snooze-fest. Stubblefield is nice, but he talks so much about things that are not connected to the readings. Don't trust his syllabus. Play Analysis is just not his expertise, he's better at stage design (so I hear).

Fundies is an awesome class, challenging but worthwhile. Steve always helps with improvements. If he gets excited about something in your project its a good indicator of doing a good grade.

Pretty boring lecture. Tests aren't that hard as long as you study the study guide and do the readings. Lectures tend to go on long tangents. Midterm, final, and term paper have equal weight and make up your grade so make sure that you do well on all 3. Pretty easy grader though.

Knows a ton about his subject. Assigned textbook readings but only tested off notes. Other readings include a few plays. I've never been into the fine arts but he made the subject mildly interesting at times. Nice guy.

Very good professor. A little aloof at times but good. Amazing set designer. Pretty easy as long as you do the work. Was good to take after three and a half years at Geneseo ravaged my GPA.

This class was very boring and there was almost no work involved. It is an easy class to get out of the way for a fine arts core. He is a very approachable guy and will help you if you have any questions. Almost too smart to teach. Knows an immense amount about what he teaches and what he does. Not a bad class

Babbles on a lot in class. Watched lots of movies so if you sit in the back it is easy to just sneak out and he doesn't even notice. Very weird guy, but it is nice that there is more than just essays to get grades on to boost your grade.
