Comment:
Brilliant lectures, but fail to read the book and you're in trouble. The guy who sat next to me complained about the tests, but he never even bought the book. I learned a lot of useful information. Pryor is funny sometimes, but his sense of humor was over my head sometimes. I would recommend this course to anyone who does not mind work.

If you do not read you will not pass. I read a comment on here before that said attendance is not mandatory. It's really not. This class is 3x a week. I probably went everyday until the first test & realized what was taught in class was not on the test. Everything for the assigned chapters was. He doesn't respond to emails so go see him. I got a B.

John is a good teacher and the class is just him lecturing. He sends you power-points of his lectures so you can follow along. Gives some extra credit opportunity which will help your grade a lot! READ THE BOOK. A lot of information on the tests come from the book! The tests are difficult but he curves them which helps.

Comment:
Super boring lectures, very monotone!!! I attended all of the lectures up until the first exam. Nothing from lecture was on the exam. I stopped going to class and just read the chapters for each test, and got Bs on them. So you must read if you want to do well. He curves each test, and he drops the lowest test score of the first 3 exams.

This is a class about this guy's opinions. If you do not agree with these options, this class is difficult to sit through. His tests have the most random questions that you would never know you needed to study. Very boring class and I would not recommend.

such a good guy, this class is very interesting i do reccommend it but the wording on tests may be difficult. Some chapters are boring, GET THE BOOK, i used it every day and its an interesting read. I suggest you go to class so you understand the material even though its not manditory. Start extra credit early on.

His exams are really hard but the curve is so huge that it's easy to get an A in the class. Powerpoints are online through his website. Look at those and read the book and you'll do ok. He drops one of the exam grades. He's boring but he makes it so his students can get a decent grade.

Class has a lot of potential but he is very boring to listen to and goes through slides to fast. Have to write down everything he says and the tests are hard. His powerpoints are confusing and he isnt clear about how to follow along in the textbook. Interesting class though

Interesting topics but they are taught very dryly; it is kind of a dull class. The grades are only exams and he accepts 4 blue cards for extra credit. We don't watch many videos. Attendance is not mandatory. You must read the book. Class is just ok.

Pryor is a funny guy, but his lecturing style amid the occasional humor was DRY. We watched a few great videos (one about old lady sex at the end was hilarious). The tests were extremely difficult, rely heavily upon the book for those. His lecture powerpoints looked hideous, were a bit useless, and I never used too much info off them for the test.

The content is generally interesting at the beginning of the semester but its unbearable to go to by the end due to his teaching style. He is super dry, to the point, and say "um" a thousand times during lectures. The test are impossible to adequately study for. This was my hardest class this semester simply because it was impossible to prepare for

Really nice teacher, funny class. NOT A BLOW OFF CLASS AT ALL. you have to study and read the chapters to do good on the tests, but he does curve them.

Class is interesting, but not necessary most of the time. READ THE BOOK! All the test questions pretty much come from the book. Pryor is a nice guy and is a good lecturer. He sugarcoats nothing.

Awsome class! But READ THE BOOK!! His tests are really hard and most of the questions are from the book. But over all he is a really good teacher and the class its self is interesting. He is not afraid to say the dirty stuff and will tell you like it is!
