Comment:
Assigns a crazy amount of homework, 2-3 hours, that is due at the beginning of each class. The worst part is she doesn't teach you how to do the homework until after you already have done it. This leaves you very angry when trying to figure out how to do the extremely complicated homework. Overall a terrible teacher.

This class was the MOST DIFFICULT but Visser made it bearable/possible (there's another Prof. for this class, and I've heard that if you have him it's unlikely you'll pass). Go to class/TA sessions, read/do the homework to understand. Logic is so much work, but you feel proud of yourself for learning it, also it's rly applicable to everything.

I took this class to get out of a math credit. Extremely difficult class for non-logical thinkers, but it feels rewarding and is applicable outside of school. I spent four hours doing homework for every hour in class. There is help available.

She isn't really helpful at all. There is not even a clear reason what the point of the class is. Her teaching style is more of a teach yourself style. She acts like everyone should know this stuff. Really too much time to put into a Gen Ed.

Great teacher- incredibly helpful. Pretty straightforward exams. If you do the homework and ask questions then you don't have to study much. She doesn't take attendance but you have to go to class if you want to do well. One of my favorite professors at Valpo.

If you aren't good at proofs like the ones you do in math class, don't take logic. Take MATH 124 or 131 instead. She is a harsh grader at times, but she will really help you learn if you are willing to put in the time and effort.

I didn't find the subject matter particularly easy or interesting, but she did everything humanly possible to help me pass the class (took it pass fail after it became apparent that I couldn't get a C), even if I did not.

Honestly the best professor I've had at Valpo. Made me work a lot, but that made me LEARN a lot. She is a fantastic leader and will challenge you to actually believe what you say you believe.
