I'm not the criminal justice type but I must say he made it easy where I could understand it. I wish all teachers were like him. His understand he's not your only professor. He gives the work but its workable. I got an A out the class. Great teacher. Take him!

I dropped this class because it was moving too fast for me in conjunction with my other coursework. I'm still interested in the subject, but I couldn't stand this professor's lectures - they were so dry and the way he talks is very annoying.

known for not being female friendly. It's a subject that either you understand or you dont, and if you dont they are NOT good at helping and explaining things, especially TAs

BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD, NO QUESTIONS. Take any class you can with Steve Bruell, he is incredibly helpful and always willing to meet with you. The class is somewhat challenging but I am a Biology Major and took this as a Science elective with no prior knowledge of C# and I got an A. He's very understanding and fair. Again, best teacher EVER.

This is one of the best professors on campus. He is very helpful. If you don't attend his classes, you won't do good on the quizes. Other than that, this professor is the best.

Professor Bruell rocks... easy to understand fair adn a great curve for computer science 1. If you have any interest in c# take this class. Tests are fair but projects are hard but code can be found online for the most part. Requires around 4 hours of work max outside of class per week. Easy to understand and ahs a great sence of corny humor

It would probably be helpful to come into this class with at least a little bit of experience. He's a nice guy but his tests can be hard if you don't go to class.

Lectures were a bit too early for my taste, and the weekly quizes every Friday morning were killers, but even with massive hangovers you can get a decent grade if you study a tad bit before you go get wasted. Discussion assignments make you keep up with the material. As long as you keep up the tests aren't bad at all.

Great teacher, lectures are very concise and clear. Excellent at explaining all course material, projects will take time in completing, test were predictable. Very knowlegable about the subject (Object Oriented Programming). Must go to all lectures, and put in effort or you will be confused, very confused, examples done in class are very good.

Steve's the man. However, I took CS1 at Kirkwood in high school so I'm a lot more familiar with programming than a lot of people. It seems that for people who have no experience with programming, CS1 is near impossible.
