Comment:
Worst teacher I've ever had at UML. Don't raise your hand in class, she'll HUMILIATE you. Got yelled at for leaving at the end of presentation to use the bathroom. Takes random points off your work, even when you follow guidelines. Mean to students. Doesn't review for exams. Couldn't find a worse teacher, don't take the class. dont.

This is THE WORST teacher at UML. Please consider not taking this class, she is very disorganized, condescending, and her teaching style is outdated. She uses an overhead projector, I have not seen this done since high school in 2010. She has no problem with yelling at students in front of the whole class, and has no respect for students.

Rude and sometimes downright mean to students. Makes you not want to participate. I have more to say, but RMP guidelines don't allow me to plainly tell you how much you should avoid Comm. Just avoid her.

Rude and condescending. Will openly mock and yell at students; seems more interested punishing them instead of helping. Class discussions are confusing, assignment/project expectations are very unclear, deducts points liberally, doesn't review for exams, exams are all essay questions, dated material, doesn't post half of class material on BB.

AWFUL. I do not recommend taking any classes with her. She is not helpful in the least, really doesn't care about the students. I went to every class and took notes and still got a C because she refused to ever review for exams. Ridiculous grading system and refuses to scale.

1. No need to buy textbook 2. Go to class, concentrate and take down notes 3. Memorize. Her grading is very fair, you'll do fine as long as you make an effort to study. She is very to the point, if you fail, it's your own fault.

You don't need the book at all. The exams were difficult because it is all open response and she expects you to memorize pages and pages of notes. She was also rude. Wouldn't recommend her.

Professor Comm teaches straight to the point with PowerPoint presentations and overhead slides. The biggest drawback from her class is the material she uses is extremely outdated (e.g., videos and slides from the 80's).

You can't go wrong with Comm. Like another rater wrote, she's to the point and clear with her expections. You will have trouble if you don't come to class as her in-class notes are crucial to good grades on the exams. When studying for an exam, YOU ARE WASTING TIME if you study anything other than her in-class notes. She's fair and helpful.

Prof. Comm is really awesome.I dont understand the negative comments. I really believe in this site, so I'll be completely truthful. If you come to class, take notes from her lecture, study the notes, and participate in the class you will have zero problems. Her expectations are crystal clear. Trust me, if you dont do well, only blame yourself.

How can people hate on this professor? The tests are based solely on the PowerPoints. I never bought a book. I reviewed the PowerPoints before the test. Got an A-. The professor is straight to the point. If you at least mildly try, you should get a good grade.

You have to study hard for the tests if you want to do well on them, there is just no way around it. The three exams mostly come from her class notes, so go to class everyday and take them down. No final, but there is an (easy) group project. Book is absolutely useless, don't buy it. Yes her voice can get on your nerves, but you'll get used to it.

No longer lecture hall class. Attendance is not part of grade, but test info comes from class notes & powerpoints on blackboard. sometimes powerpoints are vague so use the book a little. 3 tests, MC & fill-ins each on 6chapters so give urself time to go thru the powerpoints n take notes. do that youll do good on the exams. also,1group project

Worst professor ULowell has to offer, I had a 3.8 GPA entering the class and she tore it down to 3.7, she is a complete nut. She doesn't help out, won't scale because she says not enough students show up, but people like me who did, get shafted because of it. She says everything she writes down is on the test and reading the book was useless.

Teacher blatantly ignored students questions and requests to leave slides up. Blamed students poor test grades on their "focusing" on specific subjects. I haven't been able to get even a slight amount of information from this class or the online materials. I have never felt uncomfortable with a teacher until Comm.

Deciding to take MP was the worst choice I made. The material presented in class is Comm's opinion of Marketing and listening to her squeak and squawk proved to no avail for the exams. The exams were primarily a measure of how well you can memorize definitions from the text. Unless you enjoy watching a diva on stage, stay away from this course!

most boring class. if you want to actually learn something try to take it with another professor. there are only three multiple choice tests...and she dtops the lowest of the first two exams. the tests are easy if you study...ALOT! going to class will not help you pass the tests, so if you can read the book and teach youself go for it.

I was worried by the bad comments - but 90% of the stuff is online so its relatively easy. she uses the best score of your first 2 exmas. the last exam is worth 200 points. Definitely take this over a summer prof. Such a big class that u will have friends in it too

Comm is the most boring teacher i have ever had. She has the most annoying voice I have ever heard, and makes you watch movies from the 1970's. Easy enough, just extremely hard to sit through.
