I am not particularly interested in the material in this course but I enjoyed taking it. Professor Elbirt made it bearable and even slightly enjoyable. Helpful outside (and inside) class for questions.

The project in this class was a lot of work, for which the professor was not always the most helpful when we ran into problems. Still, overall a good teacher, accomodating, and funny. Too bad he's leaving ECE department to go across the street to CS. He was the best prof I've had at UML yet...

In a word...excellent! Only he could take such difficult material and make it seem easy. He is easy to get in touch with, and responds quickly to emails. If you can take a course with this man, do it! If not, it's your loss.

Summer course flies by fast. As new professor, Prof Elbirt needs to polish his teaching style from students' perspective. He was too nice but did not effectively structure the course. This led to unfortunate lab conflicts with student schedules.
