Wrote like 3 papers and 1 research paper. Seems a lot but it's really not, he gives a lot of time in class to work with too.

From my understanding.. MIS 295 is being removed from the curriculum. However, if you have the opportunity to take a class with DHale... do it. He will help you in the long run. Easy B. Work Hard and you'll make an A.

D Hale is fantastic!! He is very engaging, funny, and a great teacher. He's also one of the best MIS professionals out there and his advice is great for business and for life. TAs do most of the grading in the class. The class itself is really difficult and picking good group partners is essential, but D Hale's lectures are inspirational.

David Hale is one of the best professors at the University of Alabama. I have learned a tremendous amount of knowledge throughout his course. Hale expects you to work and dedicate the proper time to his class. If you don't have good time management skills, you will not pass this class. Overall, I loved this class and the challenge! Great Professor!

Classes are a great opportunity to sit back and absorb valuable information that you will apply throughout your career. Group projects are notoriously backbreaking, but this class is very doable. Do your reading, put in the effort to develop soft skills out of class, and pick good groups by branching out and meeting people early. Great professor.

It may seem like DHale is rambling for the first month, but when you look back you'll realize he was teaching you how to think like an MIS professional. If you started as a business major, you'll think the class is extremely time consuming and hard. If you started as something else that is actually challenging, it will be pretty average. DHale rox.

This class is very time consuming. Lets just say on one project ours was over 600 Powerpoint slides. Best advice I can give you is find a good group with people that actually want to work. The class is almost fun.

Class is very time consuming, seems like a weed out class. Did well over 1000 total for 3 projects. Tests are easy if you go over online notes. PICK GOOD GROUP MEMBERS for your projects. Seriously. Projects are time consuming but feel rewarding when finished. Got an A in the class, worked hard for it.

He will make or break your view of MIS. It is a weed out class. They want to test your dedication, sociability, leadership, and ability to follow directions. You better find a good group of classmates soon. That is honestly the only reason I made it and am willing to continue. They push me to try harder and vice versa. MIS, for those who are daring

If you want to do MIS you better love Dr.Hale. The class is hard but its totally doable if you want to do this major. You need to be sold on MIS before coming into the class, if you are unsure about the major and don't give this class your all it will be the death of you.

Difficult to rate because he is hardly even the "professor" for this class. You get more instruction and help from the grader than you do him. The stuff you do in this class is pretty easy, just a lot of work. The tests are kind of hard. D Hale is a genius but it's hard to understand the stuff he talks about most of the time.

So you want to be an MIS major do you? Well here's some news for you. If you don't like programming, get out. Don't listen to the "hype." Don't let them tell you, you don't have to like programming. You better love it. Or you'll HATE this major. Take it from a kid who got too far to recuperate. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN.

Hard to say about this professor. The tests and the projects require a lot of work. Choose your partners wisely!!! You do learn a lot about project management though. Don't expect this class to be a pushover.

Class is fun but hard. Be prepared for a ton of long nights. MIS295- is as much a time management class as anything else, ask him for projects early and ask him for the grade sheet! Lot of fun to in class if you engage him and joke around. 295 is the MIS weedout class. Good luck. Great professor.

D Hale is one to not take any crap. He always has lots of wise things to say to MIS majors. His lectures kinda suck, but he is a well rounded teacher who knows his stuff and is passionate about the program's success. Be prepared to go a LOT of work in MIS 295. My theory is that this class is to root out the fair-weather MIS majors/lazy people.

DHale is an excellent teacher. There's lots of work, but if you're serious about MIS you won't mind it. DHale cares about his work and really prepares you for life after college. If he sees you're determined, he'll also make an effort to help you outside of the classroom as well. Be professional and perform above expectations. Cliché, I know.
