Great professor. Great person. Her tests are difficult, but she curves. Definitely tests extensively in breadth of knowledge with some depth, so be prepared to study a bit. She expects full participation as far as reading goes, but she gives you points for simply reading and attending, so do that. Openly liberal but surprisingly traditional.

Spent first class teaching us how to take notes properly. At least two papers due a week. If you want to do well, attendance is a must. Will bring up a topic, ask the class about it, and then never elaborate. Leaves thoughts incomplete in class, then tests on them. Grades really tough on tests. Boring material. Double dips core, but not worth it.

Her classes are fairly interesting and humor filled, and although there is a lot of reading the coursework is rather easy. She only gives three exams and many of her questions have several possible answers. She is extremely understanding and always willing to help anyway she can. Just go down to her office and she is always willing to chat.

As a 100 level class there is A LOT of work & she grades as if a 400 level Her tests are hard & she words them in ways to confuse you by having 2 VERY good answers Read the book if you want to do good on tests study guide is no help! Reading Response result in 50% drop if handed in late Doesnt curve DONT take if unecessary nice lady bad teacher

What a nice lady. Research methods is a tough course, but she really does a good job to make sure you understand the material. There is a lot of homework, but it keeps you prepared for the tests. Tests are on the hard side, but not impossible if you prepare for them. I would recommend her to anyone interested in Sociology.

She's a good teacher, but there is a lot more on the tests than what will be in your class notes,so you need to read the book and take notes on your own. Mini-papers due every couple weeks and 2 bigger papers. Make sure you contribute to class discussions because it keeps them going instead of just lecture. Tests are HARD, but its not too bad.

Research Methods with her was a joke. Its obvious that she doesn't know what she's talking about. However, the class is insanely easy. Read the chapter summary 5 minutes before the quiz and you'll get a 100. Tests a little more challenging. One good thing is the paper, which she helps you with a lot
