Comment:
Really detailed class on the research Dr. Ungar specifically does. Didn't realize I could ever learn that much about teeth. Easy to get the A if you went to class, discussed, and gave semi-decent presentations. Only two tests, which he graded leniently.

Dr. Ungar is a pretty amazing professor. Teaches with a passion accompanied by a lot of really cool (relevant) life stories. Best way to learn the complicated matters of evolution. Gave 3 tests which were short answer and very straight forward. If you did well, you could exempt the final.

Ungar is an extremely knowledgable and somewhat charismatic teacher. He has high expectations but is more than willing to help those who seek out help. Attendance isn't necessarily mandatory but it is if you want to make a decent grade. His tests are demanding and there's a lot of detailed information to learn, but for majors it's a good class.

Dr. Ungar is a wonderful professor. He is passionate about his work and tells great stories. Although attendance is not mandatory, I would highly suggest going to every class. Dr. Ungar will let you know what's needed for the exam and provide the most up to date information. Exams are in essay form but can be answered with pictures graphs or tables

This class was really really interesting. Ungar is a great teacher, I learned A LOT from him, I never thought that I would really like this stuff and this class really changed my mind. The class is divided into 3 sections biology, primates and human evolution. STUDY hard, tests are hard but easy if you study & GO TO CLASS, not required but helps!!

This class was impossible. Much too hard for an introductory class. The tests were very hard and I couldn't tell one answer from another- very confusing.

You will rely on your lab teacher. He' s really confusing. I think its because he's so smart and he just assumes we know more than we do.

Attendance is not mandatory, but it makes a huge difference if you go. NO NEED for the book. Helpful study tip: Print off the study guides asap & take them with you to each class. It helps w/ taking notes. That way you have the notes you need, and not a bunch of of extra material to confuse you when it comes to studying.

EXTREMELY HARD CLASS! Do not take this if it is your lab science credit! It will drop your GPA unless you are maybe a science major.

Peter is confident because he knows what he's talking about. He's preeminent in his field, and comprehensibly condenses complex information. I loved the class, because it fueled the interest in anthropology he ignited in me in 1013. Yes, you need to go to every class, and yes, you need to take good notes. But this is college, people.

Ungar seems to be a good teacher, but I think you have to be really interested in the material to learn much from this class. I did not like the class because it was not at all interesting for me. Don't take this class if you don't believe in evolution, it's what the whole class is about!!!

Hard to understand the lectures. Hard test questions-essay style. Be prepared to know everything he lectures about in class. Doesn't take roll, but knows if you are there. Very enthusiastic about Biological Anthro.
