His lectures are highly intriguing and entertaining. He is basically up there theatrically performing Shakespeare with such a passion that you can't help but be enthralled. He once abruptly dropped to his knees as he reenacted a scene from king Lear. He's brilliant.

This class is a joke! He uses his students as a platform to perform pre-written essays in 75 minute sessions. He presents outlandish theories that he mentions his colleagues disagree with him on (Romeo raped Juliet?), but teaches them as fact. Don't take this class unless you want to be brainwashed by his bizarre, egotistical notion of "reality."

Words simply cannot express how amazing Professor Watson and his class were. Due to his enlightening lectures I have developed greater interest for Shakespeare. It was the best experience I have ever made and I can only encourage any student who likes to put effort into his or her studies to take a class with Professor Watson!

Absolutely brilliant! Apart from his deep knowledge and passion for the subject, his charismatic and passionate style during lectures made the hours fly like minutes. I was always sad when the lecture was over. You are privileged if you can learn from this erudite and learned man!

Felt like failing class so I could take it again. Eloquent but understandable with a fun and fast-paced method of lecturing. Was drowsy at times, but blame the unbelievably comfortable chairs. Warm and helpful man, does not misrepresent opinions. Strong essay topics and feasible tests. Excellent TAs. What college should be all about.

Really, really smart guy. He lectures that way, too, filled with allusions to Shakespeare, contemporary politics, the environment, music from all over the board, and so on. If you're not a great close reader, just watching him do it in lecture will help enormously.

Great class. His lectures should be taped and sold. He starts off his lecture with a point and then wraps the entire structure of the lecture around that point. He is very helpful and speaks with clarity.
