Make sure you get the notes, if you dont go to class. In order of important to study for: Previous tests + Problem Sets, and then the notes + book. memorize! You can study 1 day b4 the test. I dont recommend it. The final was also previous tests + problem sets. Dont screw up the rxn mechanisms they are each usually worth 10pts...1/10 the test.

Bahnson is a really nice guy and very helpful outside of class. Sometimes he's unclear in lectures, but the review sessions he gives are helpful. Overall the class is difficult but not ridiculous

Comment:
Bahnson was a pretty good professor. I felt that his lectures were somewhat dry, but if you talk to him outside of class he is actually pretty funny. He's also really helpful if you go to ask him a question. He curves the final class grades, so if you put in a few hours of study every week you should be able to get at least a B in the class.

Comment:
Unless you are a chemical engineer steer clear of this course. The material is presented in a way that is very hard to follow. I've gone to his office hours a few times and the majority of those times resulted in him laughing at me. EXTREMELY hard unless this nonsense is your life. The book actually does help with understanding concepts though.

His teaching style is not particularly easy to understand but with the cheat sheets allowed for each exam is was easy to do well

The class is very interesting in the beginning, but becomes a huge drag with talk of enzymes and metabolism. He's very fair. If you do the problem sets you'll be fine. I studied for a total of maybe 5 hours the entire semester and got a B.
