Criminal Investigations is hands down the best class at UARK for a criminology major. Professor Brooks is super easygoing and has amazing lectures. Usually, only 3 assignments for the whole semester and you can use notes on the test if you show up to class. His lectures are personal so you have to show up to get the notes for the test.

I took Criminal Investigation with Professor Brooks, and it's one of my favorite classes I've ever taken. His lectures are super interesting, as he teaches from his experience in the criminal justice field. He also interacts with the class a lot instead of just talking at us the whole time. Take notes during lecture and you'll be good for the test!

Mr. Brooks is by far my favorite professor I've had. Every lecture was almost always guaranteed to keep you interested. Easy notes and easy grading on exams and briefs, so just show up, listen, and you'll do fine.

Took criminal investigations with him and it was great! Out of most of the professors I've had, his lectures are probably the most engaging, he talks about his personal experience a lot which is helpful. He did give us some extra credit but honestly, his assignments and tests are not difficult, you can pass the class as long as you show up

I absolutely loved this class! He gives out a quiz at the beginning of each class which has to do with your lectures. Theyre super easy and reading your notes once will help. His tests are straightforward and his lectures are engaging. I wouldnt recommended taking this if you dont have a tough stomach. He shows actual crime scene photos.

One of the most interesting classes I've ever taken. Professor Brooks is very engaging during lectures. He cares about his students and is a really reasonable guy. He takes current events and relates them back to subject material. If you show up and study you shouldn't have a problem in this class. Highly recommend!

One of the best teacher's I've ever had. Criminal investigation was by far the most interesting class I've taken at U of A and I learned so much from it. The class is easy as long as you show up and pay attention. Test and quiz questions are straight forward and he also offers some small extra credit opportunities. Highly recommend this class.

My favorite class and instructor so far! The case studies are very interesting and he tells a lot of great stories to break up the monotony of lectures. I've never been bored in his class even though it's a T/Th. He tells you exactly what you need to know for the test during the review lecture. I'd take it again if I could.

He was an amazing teacher and I was very interested in the class and thought he did a great job teaching it. There are only 2 tests but he usually allows notes but only if attendance is good. So don't skip his lectures, you won't pass the tests without studying a lot.

My best teacher yet. The school/students are very lucky to have Mr. Brooks teaching. He is an expert in his field. It was fascinating learning. Went by to fast. But, if you take his class show him respect and don't miss or walk out when important men come to class and lecture. It's extremely rude.

Probably the best teacher I ever had, simply because he loves what he does so much and makes you love it to. If every cop was as awesome as him, we'd live in a perfect world. Take him and count your blessings that you get to do so.
